Damn you guys have really brought back some memories

The Wraith. ehhhhhhh well while it was a ok movie the car scenes were pretty cool. and 2 points for whoever said it was the pace car for indy in 88. Funny cause you could see the Dodge emblem on the front.

Of course GI60 Eleanor is just TITS and I wouldn't mind the XJ220 or a few of those classic ferraris

Swordfish was ok but not enough of a car chase . that TVR is just sick. there is a guy here in Charlotte with one. Actually 3, several dif. years.

Who Am I with the whole lancer scene especially when it's on it's side and when in the gravel. BTW next time you watch it see if you can see the orange wedged in the front air duct.

There was an oler movie I think it may have had Monte Carlo in the title but it was nuts. had a race with minis and these guys were driving over and on anything. Like jumping from roof to roof and stairs and everything. Awesome movie. Well just for the cars.

And for my all time Fav. RONIN Just can't get enough of the S8 and Bimmers.

And for you too wheel fans anyone remmeber STREETHAWK on USA, GAWD I wanted that bike so bad when I was younger.

And another 2 wheel adventure is American Built. they make their own GP 500 racer and test it real early in the morning in this little town and it's just awesome. Anyone else seen that one????

I haven't seen The Rock in a long time. didn't even think of it.

I also was flipping channels and saw the change scene with the two indy cars in Driven with Stallone. I like the under the trailer move.

Oh, and one of the best crash scenes. The scene in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome with the head on between the two trucks and the airplane taking off over the top of them. The sound that engine makes when it pull around the airplane sends shivers up my spine every time I hear it.

BSN_mt brings up a good series of movies. What about the opening chase scene in the original Mad Max. You guys know, the last of the V8 Interceptors and the Big Bopper.

On a side note did you guys hear that a new Mad Max movie will be coming out in 2004. I can't wait, I love those freakin movies. Mad Max Rockstansky is one of the coolest movie characters ever.

OKOK, sorry. How about these movies?
The chase scene in The Rock was pretty cool. Too bad Cage had to destroy that beauty (yellow ferrari or something).

As for stunt driving, can't beat Ronin. That was some eye-popping stunt driving going down those alleys. Absolutely incredible.

Something I notice every time I watch Ronin which reminds me of that episode of Sienfeld...

Man Hands

During the chase through the tunnel, there is a shot from behind the driver (the woman). The stunt driver has a wig on to get the blowing blonde hair effect, but he/she has man hands! There is also some continuity issues with the window being open/closed that I've been meaning to catch. But the scene is so intense I forget to check for the window every time I watch it.

I think I'm going to watch that movie again this weekend.

I wasn't impressed by that one. I rented it cause it was supposed to be good but it was just ehh.

Anyone see Transporter with the guy from Snatch? That has a great opening scene with a 7-series (although kinda unrealistic at times), a quick sprint in a Saab 900, as well as an airplane/18-wheeler stunt show at the end.

...the plot sucks ass though. Just watch the first 10 minutes rewind it, watch it again, then return it. Actually I'm not sure if its even out on video yet. I was working at a movie theater at the time so I just ducked in for the good parts.

Hell yeah I forgot about the ROCK. My main memory from that movie is Vanessa when they are on the patio and she has pigtails. OH MY GOD.. and the classic line about ******* the prom queen .... I MARRIED THE PROM QUEEN. gotta love sean connery and nicholas cage.

And this thread wouldn't be complete without SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT. any of them take your pick. dated a girl in highschool with a screming eagle just like that that had a license plate that said bandit.

Man there are so many good ones. Forgot about the BB2000. I am sure there are more. Now if only smoking didn't affect your memory dammit. think think. .. I got it the chase scene in CHEECH AND CHONGS UP IN SMOKE. well not really a chase scene but. They sub the car and get pulled over cause he is sitting on the median....You can keep on knocking but you cant come in. And then the whole van made of grass and the cop that pulls them over who ends up just eating their hotdog and letting them go.

Anyone remember the TV show "The Bandit"? It was supposed to the new age Smokey and the Bandit. The guy drove a black Dodge Stealh Twin Turbo. I barely remeber it being on and I can't find any info on it but what I remember was all four wheels smoking!!!

Thanks for the correction on the quote. But like I said before I was to busy thinking about her in those pigtails to pay attention the rest of the movie.

And yes I do remember THE BANDIT I loved when he would do 180s because he would smoke all 4 everytime and when he got sideways and would 4wheel drift the car. Very short lived and not too popular but definately had some good moments.

So I'm not crazy. I had a Stealth just like that for a couple and I tried everything to find info on that show..but nothing. And the only thing better than seeing that Stealth doing 180's smoking all 4's was doing it myself in my stealth! Maybe that's what led to my transmission and transfer case breaking in half?
