Bent Rod ???

I think my cars fine but it made a couple weird sounds that were most likely sputtering. Sounded like a metal hanger shook around in the engine bay for 1 second. Anyway pretty scary sound but I want to make sure my rods aren't bent so I dont end up with a hole in my block.

Any ways to tell?? Car sounds fine / not knocking

just took it out for a little easy drive and I was knocking .3 for a brief second in 1st / 2nd gear. Didn't happen everytime but i have never seen my car knock before. Also this might be in my head but the clutch feels a little "softer." I say this might be superstition because I know that bent rods cause the clutch to feel strange at times.

Guess ill have to give my buddy at SU a call and see what he has to say. Ive never changed oil before so how hard is it to remove the oil pan and does the oil drain out?? I live in an apt so ill just take it to a shop to do that if necessary. Hope this isn't serious /: I baby my car all the time. Ive launched it maybe 5 times and gone WOT about 20 times in the year ive had it. Don't know how / why this could have happened. I never go WOT unless im over 3K rpm.

Removing oil pan isn't how you drain oil. There is a drain plug that you would take out to drain the oil first. This car will show knock of .35 or .7. It's nothing to worry about. If you feel vibrations in your clutch then you should worry.

it happens. if you are able to set an alert for it then you'd see it more often. the truth is partial throttle knock happens but since there is no cylinder pressure it really isn't enough to do any damage.
