Base plate (for towing behind motorhome)

Has anyone installed a base plate for towing the 5 behind a motorhome on all four wheels? I know that the manual doesn't specifically allow it, so Mazda - of course - won't comment on whether or not it will damage the vehicle (by the way, my 5 has a manual transmission).

Blue Ox makes a base plate for the 5, but their disclaimer says that simply because they make it doesn't mean that anyone should use it on their vehicle (nice....).

So, I'm caught in the middle, without any answers. I don't want a tow dolly due to storage issues, both at home and at camp sites. And I love my 5 and I don't want to buy another vehicle simply to tow behind our motorhome.

If anyone has any experience or advice on this matter, I would greatly appreciate the input. Thanks!

there are a lot of things Mazda says they don't want you doing; towing, being towed, they don't even want you to change your own oil!
all blue ox does is make dinghy setups. I think they know what they are doing. I wouldn't have a problem towing it.
very few mfgrs really recommend towing your vehicle. saturn was one of the few that provided instructions on how to do it.
