So I dropped new plugs in my P5 this weekend, and I'm wondering if I effed it up somehow.

I went with NGK G-powers. I gapped them at .44(at least I think I did)....how do you know if somethings not quite right with your new sparks?
What if I didn't quite gap them right?
What if I didn't quite "seat" them right?
Putting the wires back on- don't like how on 2 of 4 (under the coils) you can't really push 'em down and feel that "click"!

Anyway, my idle feels a little rougher, and my engine sounds a little more, eh, "ratchet-ier"? Runs ok, actually toch feel a little snappier off the bottom end, but doesn't feel quite 100% right to me...... All in my head?

Most of it may be (not to sound mean:)). As far as gapping them, I assume you mean 0.044" (if not, then I have found your problem ;-)).It doesn't have to be exact - just close. As far as seating the plugs, if you thread them in by hand with the ratchet end first, they should be fine. For the plug wires, even the coils have the little lip on the valve cover to "snap" on to. Just make sure they are screwed down all the way, and that you don't have any torn boots.

As for the weird sounds, is it possible that you accidentally disconnected a vacuum hose when you changed the plugs, and you didn't plug it back in?

also dont tighten the coils down too much u might crack it :D
also i heard the Vpowers are the best ones for our p5?

i don't have the problem with G-power, it makes my idle feel lot smoother than the stock one~
