Bad Half Shaft?

I just noticed a clicking sound coming from my driver side "wheel". It is always there and just get's louder with speed. I doesn't seem to be the wheel bearing(tire does not wobble) When i raised the car and spun the wheel I could hear the clicking. I am thinking it is the Half Shaft, just wondering if anyone had a better idea?

cv joint/half shaft

It's most likely your cv joint. Is the click most noticeable when you're turning?

The CV (constant velocity) joint is contained within a rubber boot on the half shaft. Generally, the joints go out when a boot tears and the joint dries up. Occasionally, the joint can go bad without a torn boot.

Replacing only the joint is nearly as expensive as replacing the whole 1/2 shaft.

Good luck and please post your results!

That is was is confusing me, the clicking is constant. Additionally, the click sound is so rapid that when driving it sound more like something rubbing.

I check the boots and none were torn, so since I can't be sure what is wrong I am going to drop it off am my mechanic tomorrow.
