Bad flutter

I just installed a turbosmart duel port bpv USED and I am new in these things. I have bad flutter what shoul I do?

well does it flutter at full boost? part boost? sounds like you need to back off the spring pressure.

It flutters any time that I here it. At full boost and normal driving. I will back it off. What will happen of I back it off? What incrimment shoul I go in? Thanks for the help!

are you running recirc? or vta?

well you can start by, at idle loosten it up till you can hear it leak just barely, then tighten it down 2 full turns. then make a couple of wot runs and if it still flutters when its super soft, i would check all your boost/vac lines.

Take it off and put the OEM BPV back on the car and be happy. Seriously

sounds like it just needs adjusted. i have the same valve and it took quite a bit of adjusting, and more adjusting to get it just right.

I tried to back it out all the way and it still it fluttered. I then tookl it off and backed it off all the way and the spring came out. With the spring out I cant even depress it with my hand. It is kind of rusty looking. I think it needs rebuilding. Is this somthing I can do?

throw it away. thats what i would reccomend. put the stock plastic piece back on.

I put the plastic piece back and took it apart, cleaned it realley well and put it back together with the proper lube. It works great. Just needs a little fine tuning.
