Just saw that greenfilterusa.com is selling our air filter for 53$.
Looks similar to K&N as both use cotton.
Has anybody tried this filter on our 2?

I haven't seen anyone running one yet at the track. We used a K&N in our car.

I have the filter on my car. I autox'd with it... didn't make a noticeable difference on the car since we have low power. I felt the revs a little free but I'm sure that's all in my mind. It's more peace of mind that I have a better breathing filter then stock. I have the air box filter.

I'm sure the greenfilter does breath better than the OEM paper filter but am also concernced about filtration.
Did some research and found that greenfilter uses woven cotton instead of cotton guaze.
Greenfilter states that it filters down to 5microns, anybody know what particle size the OEM filters at?

I've read the same thing. I'm avoiding using a cotton filter altogether. I'd rather keep the good filtration of a high quality paper filter and miss out on the 2hp a cotton filter provides.

I currently have a WIX paper filter. It has rubber surrounding the edges of the filter and seems to be just as quality as the Mazda OEM.
Can we assume that the Mazda air filter is the best one? I'll probabaly go back to the Mazda as it is made in Japan.

I change mine at about 10-15K miles but I do shake out larger debris every 5,000.
Its a pretty large filter for a 1.5L engine.
