hey michael, thanks for piping in with your input :D

No problem, I always like putting in my two cents' worth! Especially if I'm not talking out of my lower orifice!! (thumb)

Greensleeper, I don't have the label off the roll of material I got. Just look for gasket material suitable for gas, oil, etc. Mine was graphite colored. I think the stuff I got was 3/32" and it was thicker than the stock gasket. You can probably use 1/16" or even 1/32" with no problem. Hardest part will be cutting the bolt holes, if you have a set of arch punches you are golden. I ended up using a three-hole paper punch, it was hard to align but I managed to get it in the neighborhood. A single hole paper punch would probably be easier.

For you guys with headers, you should be able to estimate your clearance using the position of the stock flex joint flange in the picture. I have a Wagner shorty so that wasn't a problem for me, I don't know how far any of the headers that eliminate the pre-cat extend under the engine so I can't help you more than that.

We installed one of these on my car last week and the fitment is tight, but it fits.

I have an ION Performance 3" downpipe and 3" exhaust and let me tell you the clearance between the downpipe flange and the pan is super tight but there is the slimmest margin of space in there.

Someday I may take the downpipe off and either grind down the flange or have the flange moved back to where it clears the pan better.

But the bottom line is it fits with my 3" exhaust and no more dropping oil pressure around corners.

Also a word of warning for anyone with GT-Spec bracing. You cannot use the GT-Spec front tie bar with this pan. it will not fit. I am going to miss that piece because I really liked the way the car felt with it, but the peace of mind that comes with this oil pan is worth it.

The ladder brace or the a-arm brace?

The A-Arm brace. The simple tie bar that bolts into right and left a-arms.

The Ladder brace presents no problems.

I figured it couldnt hurt...I need to pull my AWR pan back off to put the second pickup tube gasket on. I didnt do it the first time just put the stock one inbetween the spacer and the block, really dont want to have to make another one for between the pickup and the spacer, but I guess I have to.
