They came in Today! I can't wait to install them.

They look like high quality pieces.

Here are a few pics...

motor mount tease...

ok, how much, what website, or shop...c'mon dood, dont leave us hangin.

The place.... www.awrracing.com or www.mazdamotorsports.com
The price..... $136.92US shipped to my door

If you want to pay by Credit Card then go to www.mazdamotorsports.com because AWR is not set up to take Credit Cards.
But I got mine from AWR because he sent them C.O.D. and I just wrote out a check to Tony Woodford and gave it to the UPS guy when he delivered them.

I will keep everyone posted after I install them in about a month or so. I will try to take pics of the install and post a "how to".

Damn! I need a set of those...wheel hop sucks:mad:

Let us know how the install goes and how it improves over stock!

Thanks
Terry

Cool pics, I was really interested in that part and it will be cool to hear from someone's first hand experience. :)

I'm sure you guys already know this, but wheel hop is VERY bad for your car, not just annoying. And P5's (and prob P3's) have a nasty habit of hopping when cold in the mornings.

Look at the section in this link on motor mounts.

This is a nissan site (the dark side), and our Mazdas are not as bad as the Nissan's for contact inside the engine, but wheel hop can still jar the engine and tranny. The reason dealers dont put urethane (stiffer) motor mounts in cars is that more vibration is transferred from the motor to the chassy and uniframe, meaning your hands start to itch from vibration (among other annoyances). And why the hell does vibration make my hands itch? Dont answer that.
And the older your car gets, the more pronounced the vibration will be. BUT, you are also extending the life of both motor and tranny by installing stiffer motor mounts, at the trade of a vibrating car. But hey, some of us could use that action! DOnt get scared, our P5s are well-manufactured and the vibration will be quite acceptable, especially on a young motor. Just dont put them on your 91 taurus, lol.

It only comes with 2 mounts? Anyway, I was gonna say to only replace the front 2. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Let us know of any "side effects"

Wheel hop killed me last night when Big_ben, Jag61180, Pacman, and me were all cruising. I would shift, and I could just feel the horsepower go away as the engine shook. If it is a good investment of high quality, count me in eventually!

I have a set of these as well . I have only the front on for now as the rear is a major job to change ,I will install the rear when I change the clutch . Otherwise you have to drop the sub frame to access the rear mount .

Yeah, this is what my engine bay looks like right now...

So my install of these won't be hard at all, I will just replace them before I put the engine back in. So my "how to" will not be of any help to most people who have to try and put them in while the engine is still in the car. But I will take pics anyway just for the heck of it.

Holy crap, Owner! You ripped its heart out!
By the way, how long did that take, and how complicated is it going to be to put back in? 15-20 connections or so?

:o Altarboy:o

hmmm, that's kind of sick

I had the motor mounts in for a few days... they feel great.. car vibrates a little at idle, but either way i would def say they were worth it..

For those of you that have installed AWR mounts ,are there any tricks to installing the rear without removing the subframe .

What do you mean you had them in for a few days? Did you not keep them or did something awful happen to your car?
Or did you mean to say "You have had the motor mounts in for a few days"
