AWR engine mount inserts

Anyone try these yet? they are for the side mounts. I also see that he has made replacement bushings for his friont and rear mounts that are 70 durometer, which are softer than the automatic bushings whch are 88. I need to replace mine soon, so I guess I'll try the 70's and maybe get the inserts.

the pics are on awr's site. I saw them yesterday, I wanted these for a while.

There are inserts for the SIDE mounts the fit in the stock mounts. The durometer of those aren't specified.

The 70 durometer bushings/inserts I mentioned are for the AWR mounts. Those should not make the dash rattle much, even with AWR front and rear mounts.

The front and rear mounts do like 95% of the fix. I dont think you will notice a diference by adding the side mounts to it as well. Let me know how it goes...

Well, with the 70's I'd think there would be alot of movement compared to the 88's or 95's. The side inserts might help that without adding much vibration. I dunno though, gonna have to just buy them-once it gets a bit warmer.

I ordered a front 88 duro + the sides, I think it will do a very good job of stiffening every thing without having too much vibration. Can't wait to get them but I might have to wait for the end of march to install them, because it's so friggin cold. Damn It! If I could get one of these maybe ! (flame2)

The front will take you like 5-10 mins tops. It is only two or three bolts. Just jack the car up or put it on ramps, and the mount is very easy to replace.

I'm thinking about getting the side inserts. I don't undertand how they stay in place, is there some clamp that holds them there?

You actually only need a jack to hold the engine/trans up. I did mine without raising the car. 3 bolts..

As for the sides, the other part of the mount holds them in. Look at your mounts. Sould be easy enough to see how they stay in then.

I didn't used a jack for the engine/trans. (shrug) I guess I just pushed it into place with my incredible hulk hands.
