Awful Wheel Hop!!!

My MSP has the most rediculous wheel hop. I live in a city and sometimes I need to accelarate moderately hard. The roads are rather crappy here which may contribute to it, but i find my wheel hop to be absurd, and i'm pretty sure thats why my differential went a few weeks after buying my car.

This seems to happen the most in the rain. I will accelerate through first, and then shift into second and then BAM BAM BAM. Awful wheel hop.

What is the reason behind this? Is there anything I can do to help it? I hate FWD :(

invest in a set of solid motor mounts...awr, medieval, etc.

they will get rid of your wheel hop...it's one of the joys of a msp!

Also get the lowest durometer or you may be starting a thread about how horrible the vibration is at idle. If your on a budget first you want rear to firm up shifts and keep from destroying synchros from mis-shifts and passenger for the wheel hop. 1000x better!

Yeah MMs are key. You can try to find some used ones floating around on the cheap. I would make sure that none of the mounts are torn. If they are I would get those replaced immediately.

I have Medieval mounts and I love them. I have had the AWR and SLS mounts in the past. Medieval is by far my favorite and the least annoying.

i noticed that it is rather jerky and i can visibly watch the stick sink when i hit the gas and rise when i let off so i imagine the motor mounts are going. I'll give that a shot and hopefully it will fix it. thanks!
