What caused the throttle failure? That was a good lookin lap though, congrats on the win. Odd technique with re-engaging the clutch right at the turn in point, seems like a great way to loop a RWD car, but apparently it didn't hurt you too bad :)

Thanks.

The throttle was stuck from a sensor falling down into the linkage.

My brakes are a huge issue right now, so I have to use my foot as a human ABS so I have to modulate pressure depending on where in the brake zone I get lock-up (always at least one rear tire locks, but its an issue when they both do). So I can't heal-toe right now and my car handles the clutch dump very well because it is set up so tail-happy and a little front slip lets me even it out.

buh, that blows :(
At least it didn't make its way into the valvetrain, and you got a fast run in before it happened.

That's along the lines of what I figured, RE: how the car's set up. I would try not to make that a habit though if you could avoid it.

Thanks, I'm normally not a fan of black wheels, but with the black accents on the car they seem to work.

They work, but I actually like the blue better on your car.

Added bonus: WAY easier to check for cracks.

I agree with you about the blue, but I'm sure having two different colors will save a stupid mistake of mixing up sets in the future.

Strip of tape around on 1 of the spokes of each wheel, different color for each set?

Thanks Michele

I guess I could just not paint a section of the wheel, but I think I'm going to leave the set black because some people like them better (and I want to appeal to all potential sponsors).

Why not just number them with a silver sharpie?

EDIT: Ah. Wheel sets. We use a label in the inside of the rim at the shop.

whoa, wait, am i posting in this thread? HECK FREAKING YES!
