Avarela86's MP3

Ok so I got excited today cause I went to place an order for the STI Pink injectors only read the small print AFTER I placed the order. The $200 price tag is for only 2 injectors. So i'm back to square one. My injectors are at 80% duty cycle at 17PSI and I want to up the boost to around 20-22lbs to see what it yields and also to have more wiggle room at 17PSI.

I searched EDO Performances website and found theseMSP Injectors which I guess would pick them up in the 600cc format. For $300 bucks I think it's a pretty good deal eh? Looking to see if anyone else has found a better deal or recommends another brand etc.

Fredo Why dont you get the RC 650cc or 750cc High Impedance ones.. They seem to be one of the best brand for injectors out there.. Just my .02..

Because they would be too big for my setup. 750cc is WAY too much for me I would consider 650cc though. The thing is if you have an overly high output injector and only running it a a minimal % it makes it more difficult to tune. Injectors should not be run above 100% on the other hand because the injection can become unreliable and possibly lean out where if the engine is at full load and high RPM that is NOT good.

I knew that, i was just saying since you were looking and asking for a good brand I recommended you the RCs.. They are one of the best Brand for injectors, they sell them in every size you need, i know you not suppouse to run the injectors above 85% Duty Cycle at max but i was just saying for you to get or find out about RC..

Gotcha, I thought you meant the size for the injector. Although now that I think about it, if I ever want to run E85 I should have gone with at least 650cc. But good news, I found some Pink JDM StI 565cc on Ebay yesterday and just did Buy It Now. Should have them soon and ready to up the boost some more!

Hows the build coming along?

Pretty good fredo, I putted new pistons and better bearings, better head gasket, Better oil pump and water pump, AWR oil pan and more stuff, new clutch and pressure plate, lightweight pulleys and lightweight flywheel and more stuff im forgetting at the moment, im aslo waiting for the Spanish Custom to release my J&S Safeguard.. When im done with the break in process of the engine ill take the car back to the shop to retune the haltech and up the boost. We are going to tune the car for 2.5 bar peak boost and a steady 2, 2.2 bar of boost... 30 to 32 psi and and 38 psi spike. car runs right now awesome, its just hard to do the break and not step on it. but i have to wait, im already on 300 miles out of the 700 my mechanic told me to do. so pretty soon ill have some new dyno videos and also videos running Im still also waiting on the 505zoom IM to fully complete the performance side and finish up the car... later on i want to BBK, quaife and when my tranny breaks put Par straight cut everything inside..

Nice, what compression pistons? You have a target HP #?

I'm applying for Spanish Citizenship BTW can't wait for that.

This time Im Using Custom Made Wossner 8.8:1 Hi performance German Pistons with special coating something like swain tech offers in USA along with a Custom made Hi performance custom head gasket made in Belgium,.. My target HP is anything near 600whp and 30-32 PSI of boost with a peak boost of 38 psi or near, my last none recorded Dyno was 515whp and 409 lbs Torque at 26 PSI on Meth after fixing the huge IM leak and Intake Heat soak since Manuel putted the filter right at the turbo and car was eating an insane amount of hot air from the Rad hot blowing air and insane turbo temp, i did my own intake and got the filter off that area and car did better than my recorded dyno which was 474,8whp and 396 lbs torque at 25 psi... I thought TBK putted custom cams, but for my dissapointed they putted according to Juan Mazda 626 JDM ones which they suck to make more power of what the car already did, but i need to find better cams but they have to be able to make me pass the inspection in here so i cant really get anything very very aggressive, still need to found out what i exactly need deppending on next tune and HP numbers car make.

About the Spanish Citizenship is one of the best thing that can happen to you trust me.. You live so damn good in here you wont believe it Fredo. Honestly US got nothing to really do with how you live life in here. put it this way in here you Work to live, in USA you live to work... if you ever come to Spain ring me up and me can meet up, i live in Mlaga which is the best part of Spain. things in here are so damn nice, stressless, people, weather, food and everything else is simply a blast !!!! hahaha and being the only one Nation wide with a car nobody elses have makes life even better... lol lol lol

I have the only MSP in Spain, and the only Legal Regitered MSP in the whole European Union that i know.

here is the link of my Round 2 build thread in case you have not seen it, lots of pics and info, also ive done the engine this time my self under my mechanic supervision.

Got my Pink 565's today, just gotta get these babies in and go in for a re-tune. Hoping for slightly a few extra ponies along with some extra boost, anti-lag setup and a wider smile.

Anyone know what the efficiency range is on a 28RS I honestly cannot decipher the reading on Garretts website.

Are you on the stock fuel rail? You'll want the Perrin or other with those 565's, otherwise it's gonna be a b**** to tune.

Yeah I am. (boom03):D haha I wish I had a Perrin.

I was recently in contact with Empire who said that he had a few left for $250.

I also seem to remember that there may have been some issues with Empire in the past.

Oh well, just thought I would share.

They pop up once in a while but disappear just as fast. I don't see why it's so necessary. I see SuperProtege pumping out 480WHP on the stock furl rail no prob. I really am curious as to why it's needed.

Why? Been on the stock rail a year now with 440's and no issues.

You won't have issues with 440's. When the 565's open up each time to spray, they take about double the fuel the 440's did it seems. The pressure drops because there's much less fuel in the rail. The internal bore is actually quite small, and you'll end up getting some fuel pressure fluctuations that make it a b**** to tune around. The large bore of the Perrin eliminates this by allowing more than double the amount of fuel into the rail.

Makes sense...but then how does Manuel get by with 800's on the stock rail without issues? I'm just trying to play Devils advocate. I think ill get the rail but later down the road. Would i affect the tune?

Better to get the rail now, and then tune. It might affect it depending on your fuel pressure, etc. Keep the stock FPR and just run a line from the manifold directly to it, bypass the FPR control solenoid. Then you'll have a great rising rate regulator, right on your fuel rail!

I would pick one up if there was one for sale lol. The FPR is the circular part that gets moved onto the new rail. But which is the control solenoid? Will I need to manually adjust it? What's the benefit of running this way? Seems like a lot of new stuff i've never heard of but seems like itll help out so any extra info would be nice.
