So it's free to watch right?

I'm going to bring some friends. I will run this season but I'll have more fun just scoping things out first. Plus I don't even have a legal helmet so I'm gonna need to buy one... where's the most affordable place? Recs?

Are more of you guys running in the morning or the afternoon?

It is free to watch, you just sign a waiver. I'll be there all day, so try and find me in the morning so you can ride along. I'll be driving a WRX in the afternoon if you want to ride in that.

We have loaner helmets if someone doesn't have one, so you don't have to have one unless you get sick of wearing a helmet that other people have been.

Danny at Pittman Performance sells helmets for a good price, he usually has a trailer set up at the events so you can talk to him.

I'll be running the second run group in the morning, and probably the second, maybe first, run group in the afternoon.

yup free to watch, AND you dont have to have your own helmet to race...they have rentals.

I think I fixed my altenator... the belt was way loose (the tensioners are hard to understand in this car, compared to how my subaru used to be..), and there was another loose connection on the altenator.

I'll be there for my first time this sunday too. I am not going to run this time, but want to check it out and I would love some ridealongs,I also will be with Rogue Pro5 and AZDriftR, really looking forward to it.

if I do race I dont mind letting some people ride with me... just dont expect it to be blistering fast ;).

yes, free to watch, just have to sign a waiver

they have "public" helmets that you borrow before each run. Sucks on rainy days, because you get a wet helmet.

I'm running in the morning

Cool.... and hells yes I'd like to go for a ride along!!

I'll be wearing... let's see a Porsche hat.... and a.... light blue Mike Watt t-shirt.

I know some of you guys' faces already.

seemed to have a good turnout

Chris (Prodity) H-Stock
Wayne (apexlater) G-Stock
Kevin (KCBHIW) TO in his crazy fast Miata-t
Luke (Rogue Pro5) FSP

Scott (Velocifero), his wife Gabriella, and Danny (AZDriftR) came out to support the protegs.

there were some vids taken of my car, i'll see what I can do to post them up

Sure was a good turn-out.
3/4 of my runs were complete crap.
The course was just one big maze to me..

Well that was fun, I think I almost have the MP3 set up. 1/8" toe out in the front, 1/2" toe out in the rear. Front 35psi, rear 40psi. Rotating goodness!

It was good seeing you guys there, and sorry I didn't get everybody a ride-along. :( Next time!

Luke, did you clean up FSP or what? You were moving!

Way to forget me man... (blah) (hump)

Here's a short vid of Kevin and the black beast...
First part, him busting off the starting line
Second part, just after getting "a bit squirrelly"
The announcer enjoyed making fun of him.

Crappy, really crappy quality though-- off a cell cam.

EDIT:
Crap, I can't post that kind of file here anyway... not even worth converting.

Don't know Apexlater but watched him make a sweet run as well. (cool)

I'm going to drive next time I promise.

heh, I was working at the turn at the bottom of the hill when Kevin spun the black beast... too much power? I think not.

Dude where were you, I never saw you, were you there for the morning run? I left for like two hours right in the middle for work, but came back and Kevin and Apexlater were the only two I saw after that.

o man i cant belive i forgot about this i wanted to go watch and see what is all about. O well i guess next time. Btw apexlater do you have any suspension mods down to your car or are you running stock suspension? i have access to the alignment rack at work and plan on toying around with some toe setups and was going to try the setup you posted and see how it works.

I was hangin' with my friend Frank near the starting line. He starting chattin' up the guys who had the stock Maxima. (Who didn't do all THAT bad.) He's now gonna run his next time I think. His is much tighter and quicker than theirs.

I had an eye out for you Scott... maybe I was looking for the wrong CHEEKS though.

Today's event was awsome! It was good to see you guys show up; lets keep up this turn out (2thumbs).

Luke has become crazy fast now, since he's applied the R-compound rubber, Chris gotten way faster than the first time I rode with him, and Wayne, well, I didn't get to see him run since I was only a few cars behind him in grid.

The Miata REALLY needs a limited slip. I had so much wheel spin, it wasn't even funny. Not to mention, the lack of a front sway bar wasn't helping track out much. I think I swapped ends three times out of 9 runs - I enjoyed it every time. The car also took a couple of crazy power slides with a bit of snap oversteer thrown in for fun. Damn what a fun car. When I wint he lottery, turbo Miatas for everyone :D. I ended up pulling my fastest time on my last run with Wayne in the car. I was fortunate enough to get a re-run and the warmed tires performed flawlessly with a 63.5xx (?).

Christian, I want to see that video! What did the announcer say? lol

I can't wait for the next event. Scott, Danny, Christian, you guys better run next time! ;)

here is Luke's first run (actually 2nd run, first became a re-run) with me in the car, he decided to spin it around for fun and put everybody in suspense, sorry for the lack of stability on the camera, I was holding it and try ing to hold on. here's the sucky part though, i did rapid share and it is free and good but slow. click here(http://rapidshare.de/files/1930128/autox_001.avi.html) scroll down to the bottom, click FREE, then scroll down again and click download autox_001, ...WAIT...WAIT..., click download, then click open or save , and enjoy. here is his second run with my wife in the car with him, he took it easier and it worked out very nice for him, braking early, powering out of the turn, i think he put down a 64 on this but I am not sure exactly. http://rapidshare.de/files/1930268/autox_002.avi.html I have some small segments of Kevin and I'll get them up later today or tomorrow morning. enjoy! I did

I am running the stock suspension...actually, the whole car is stock except for the pads and airfilter...wheels and tires of course.

WARNING: That is not a good street alignment at all!!! It is way too darty, the back end floats at high speeds, and it will chew up your tires faster than you can save money for a new set.

I was so tired last night I didn't put everything back to zero and it sucked commuting to work this morning, and I'm sure my tires aren't happy about it. Plus, I let a friend of mine drive my car in time only and I kept telling him before he ran that my brakes are VERY touchy and there is NO ABS!!! Well, he flat-spotted the hell out of them in several places and the tires are horendously loud now. Oh, well, I got to drive/drift his silver WRX, and I would have placed second in STX :D

Can't wait to see the results.

Yeah I saw your MP3 do some sweet 4-wheel lockups! when I guess your friend was driving. Lots o' smoke there. Almost as much as Kevin (lol... I'll post that video but I can't get the converter program to work). I hope you did reciprocal damage to your friend's WRX. (dark)
