Autocross on May 22

Well, I'm hoping I can just drive out the flat-spots, and I haven't had a chance to really look at them. He wasn't all that happy seeing me 4-wheel drift his car around the course, and there was a little feathering on the tires from it, but they aren't shaved down yet, but they will be fine....

He wanted me to really "drive" it so he could see what the car could do....so I did, and I told him that in some sections it was faster to drift the car around the corners to keep the RPMs up and point the car in the right direction. But he is glad that I always baby his tranny, which I do in ALL cars I drive, tires are cheap, transmissions....not so much.

Luke -- dude you kicked ass on Sunday!!! Congrats! You even pax'd really well.

Kevin's car is a beast...I loved it, plus he can drive, go figure!

Chris, I missed some of your runs, sorry man. No one has plateaued in their driving, so lets all keep the Mazda love out there!!!

Chris, it seemed like you just had a hard time following the course. Next time you'll be running 3rd in the afternoon group. That'll give you chances to get ride alongs to learn the course.

when is the next auto-x i definatly do not want to miss it i would like to run in one toward the end of the year but would like to watch first

Sunday June 5th. Luke made a great sticky on Atlanta region Autox.

It's my 1 year anniversary with the wifey and I will be going out with her.

After the Autox. My wife rules.

Yeah that was what I did at this last one and then hopefully will be running Novice on the fifth, need to make sure I don't already have plans and register.

That's awsome, lol.

And congrats on the anniversary!

Luke's camera mount appears to be broken.(shrug)

it was funny, after my first run (not the rerun) Scott's wife came up and said "You need to keep your arms in the car. I saw your elbow coming out. You need to keep inside the car."

standings were just updated. I'm now in 3rd :( There's a pro class 70's Rabbit that's FSP that had better times than me. Why didn't the times show before?

They apparently were in TimeOnly in the morning, and I guess they called Nathan and had him change their runs to count in FSP. Did they run in the same run group as you? I thought you ran in the afternoon?

Thats bulls***! What ever they registered for should be what counts, Next time they can be FSP if they want to. Look at that guys first time though, that should eliminate him from it all together. but then they both went under a minute. (crazy)

Going slow is better than a DNF.

Feel for you... I remember that Rabbit though, it was fast as s***. It was so light, weak ass me could have picked it up.

My dad went from a Caddy to a diesel Rabbit during the gas crunch. Then he had a Mazda GLC. I need to get me one of those. :)

No I didnt mean any dis to the driver, its just funny to see that 86, then three 59s, I dont remeber the rabbit at all, was it in Luke's run group? But I do think it is BS that he can change his race group after the fact. like going from TO to FSP days after the results were posted. That was a hard course, especailly the bottom half, I'll be running my first time next Sunday, so then we can all sit back and laugh together...at me.
