auto and manual engines

no, you just have to do some rewiring

hmm if you need help.. let me know

...why would he need to re-wire? they're all plug and play...

also, shed some light for me..

dub is doing an auto-manual conversion, his donor car is a p5...
to get the speedo to work correctly, all you have to do is put the gear in the trans correct?

my speedometer never worked after the swap, even with everything plugged in. so i wired up the speedo sensor directly to the gauge cluster and it works now.. same for the reverse lights

did you put the sensor in the trans?

yes, but the automatic and manual sensors are different and i didnt change out my harness. so i made my own plug for the trans and wired it up

ok, i gotcha...well i am going to let ya know right now, that i am, i am researching what tools I need to get the job done and get them...

i have spring compressors if you need to use them

dude, i dont even know what spring compressors are...but i will after its all over...and all the other parts of my car...

Johnny where are you locted?

I got a manual car that Im selling and would make a killer donor car. the tranny got new sycros and what not and pretty much rebuilt when the internal shifter ling broke like 25K ago.

the car has 200,000 but is totally solid.

im located in so-cal. but im looking for one that has less than like 120k miles

with lowering springs, i've never used spring compressors.. ever...

that is something J mentioned...i dont even know what the hell those are...i just want to put in the springs, and the struts, and lower it the 1.8" in the front or 1.5" in the back. i was just saying that i was going to do research on the tools i need.

Spring compressors compress the springs so that they can be safely removed from the strut assembly, its like a vice grip or c clamp designed for springs

yep. i'm just saying it's not necessary. never has been for me, unless putting stock springs back on.. but yea, that's what the compressors do.

oh ok, thanks man... yeah J offered them up if/when i decide to attempt the mod to the P5.

the tranny only has 25K on it.

do you have all these parts:
1. Transmission (whole, minus the clutch assy)
2. Clutch assembly (Clutch unit, flywheel, pilot bearings, clutch release cylinder&collar )
3. Brake pedal and clutch pedal assy.
4. Transmission mounts
5. Shifter assy & shifter (will use B&M Short Shifter in place of stock)
6. Shift knob (will use Momo shifter in place of stock)
7. M/T front axles
8. Tranny linkage
9. Master and Slave cylinders
10. M/T ECU (to avoid monster headache)
11. Speedometer cables
12. Starter

if so, pm me and we might be able to work something out.
