If you're comparing it to the MSP then yes. There are no internal differences whatsoever between the 2.0L used in the turbocharged MSP and the N/A P5. The exhaust positioning is also the same all the way until the end of the midpipe (both cars use the same stock j-pipe and have variations of the same midpipe). The only difference is that the P5 is shorter overall because of the shorter rear bumper (same wheelbase though). The only difference needed between a MSP turboback exhaust and a P5T exhaust would be the length of the axle-back portion of the exhaust. Right now, us P5T guys have three options: custom, modified MSP, or stick with 2.25" N/A stuff.

The Same goes for the 2002.5 & up ES protege as well I believe.

N2K aka Noah brought the manifold issue to my attention. He was also nice enough to send me a stock manifold to take measurements from.

Thanks for the props Leen! After receiving the BOV I knew you could design a sick mani. I just didn't know how willing and determined you were. Damn, a pleasure talking with you offline and helping you get the mani project going.

FYI - My electronics arrived from AUS. Now I got to get your BOV working :)

From what I understand, any exhaust that fits on an MSP will also fit a sedan - they are the same length. Albeit, the turboback would require the existence of an actual turbo :)

I need a sound clip of that once you get it up, I love the design of it.

Steed,

I know this is a watse of your fab skills but, how about a sri with a closed off box for heat?

I'm so stoked for the results! Its must be like sending your kid to his very first day of school eh steed? Will his dyno results be better than all the other kids? Who knows.......

^^^ If not the best, than definitely the best looking kid in school. To finish your metaphor that is... CAN'T WAIT! I'm working my entire Thanksgiving break to try to make money so I can justify buying this.

SRI = Short Ram Intake, as opposed to a CAI (Cold Air Intake, but I am sure you knew that one...)

I have an Evo vented hood. So how will the manifold hold up against rain while running?

Stock manifold and everyting else that gets wet holds up with no problems so I'm curious.

All I get is some smoke coming out from the hood, somedays more than others. But it's just becasue the rain is hitting hot ass s***.

yeah don't those things come with vent covers or something!!?! Rain and water on your engine propably isnt 100% good lol.

IIRC, the manifolds will be coated so I doubt rusting or corrosion in general would be an issue. That is unless you gouge a piece out or something...

No it comes with a vent to put under it. I don't use it though to keep the heat out of the engine area and to help with the intercooler. I'm sure it makes a little differnce. If not, well it looks good and weighs less but you can see the heat come out the hood while sitting.

But I havent had any problems when things get wet, and I've driven through pouring rain, sitting in traffic while it's pouring and no problems. But if it's raining daily I'll just drive another car usually and put mine in the garage.

Do you think this manifold would be more prone to rust it it gets wet alot? I don't care if I will but I would like to know.

I can always put the hood cover back on, but I don't want to.

Hmm, well personally for the sole reason that i keep my engine bay spotless I would not want water pouring in lol. Get water marks and stains on everything. I want an EVO CF hood really bad though, pretty much the one and only appearance mod I ever wanted. I would just keep the cover in the car so if it starts to rain i can just pull over and slap it on. or if it might rain then put it on sort of thing.

It won't hurt the manifold I'm sure but It may discolor it getting water on the boiling hot surface.

Ok. No worries then.

Only things that get dirty or water spots I should say, is the chrome piping for the intercooler and the intake and bov and radiator hoses. Everything else is so hot it drys up.

That takes 1 minute to clean.
