I'm a little wary of online dating services, but I met my wife on a single's cruise, so what do i know?
I'm on match.com... 'till now I've met and talked to a few people but nothing too special... maybe I'm also not looking for the one to settle down with right now.
...but I just met a guy that lives in my town that met his wife online through match. Now they have a kid... so who knows. It's really about what the other person is looking for too. You can tell very easily if a girl on match is just there to get attention or if she's not into games.

I'd say it is well worth a shot. I met my wife through an old Yahoo personals ad that I had years ago. Now I've got two kids and a happy home life. It's just another way to meet people, you still have to go out on dates and interact and see if you fit each other. Never tried the online dating services as they really didn't exists when I was looking, but I don't think they can hurt.

my buddy has been using craigslist and it is FREE......
I registered for a few online services when I was overseas, but I've never taken them seriously. I have always had the best luck meeting my friends girlfriends girlfriends (or something similar) for lasting relationships. Bars and clubs are also good, but not for a lasting relationship. I doubt I could take a girl seriously that I met in a bar or club.

Ok...I never wanted to use one of those serives because I would feel like a chump, but my buddy who uses Match.com said to me, "If you meet a hot girl, who gives a s*** where you met her?" So then I joined Eharmony (you can get discounts everywhere, its mad cheap) and I have met 2 great girls, one of which a dated for about 9 months before she moved to Boston. It was cool, it's not a scam, and it matches you based on this big ass test you take. Both girls I met were @ 8s (hotness rating) who were just too busy, and sick of trial and error dating. Now Kyle will come along and rip on me.......waiting.......hahah GL man!
