Anyone use this Aux Input on a Mazda5?

I would like a way to have an aux input on my 2007 Mazda 5. Does anyone have experience with devices such as this? It's highly reviewed, but I don't know if it's a 10-hour process to install the thing.

Looks interesting, though it is an FM modulator. Do a google search on "iSimple IS31" to read reviews from other sites (like Newegg, Sears, etc).

Personally, I recommend buying an aftermarket radio for about $150 that has an aux-input, can read .mp3s, play .mp3s off of flash drives, etc.

I installed an aftermarket cd changer years ago on an old Nissan that interfaced like this (inline antenna FM modulator). The audio quality was excellent.

Though it appears to be a viable alternative for those who like the oem look (myself included), you may want to follow what other '06-'07 owners have done by simply hooking up the audio connections and a resistor jumper to a harness connection on the back of the oem stereo. Should be <$5 in parts.

Or you can simply do what I just did this last week and spend about $15 (D-sub connectors and male to male 3.5mm AUX wire from Radio Shack) and an hour of your time doing this AUX mod.

Aux mod

I also just completed the DIY aux mod though I put a female jack in the dash similar to what this guy http://forum.***************/mazdaspeed6/225354-how-3-5mm-stereo-bose-system.html did in his Mazda 6. The sound quality is perfect and it took me about a half hour to complete with about 5 bucks worth of parts.
