Had the speed flashed a couple weeks ago. But f'it, its been great and all, but Im ready to order my mbc. So Ive been thinking of taking the speed back and having the other program done. Would I just tell them that the car isn't running any better. I'm thinking that this dealer(OAK TREE) in particular wouldn't put up a fight, being how they seem farly cool and are pretty oblivious as to what the car is all about. I mean **** I just want to boost around 10 psi. But with bad gas in cali and the timing advance, could that make things unstable for my speed, or am I just over reacting? And as some of you know, finding stations in the bay that carry anything over 91 are few and far between. BTW, has any one found a preference to what brand octane boost to use if any. Thanks all :)

i would assume that once they have the new patch downloaded to thier computers, the old one is overwritten.

i think you are not allowed to from what i heard before

/open up IRC and look for under EFNET>WAREZ>old MSP ECU program i think you can find it there ;) :)

They re-calibrated your ECU/PCM whatever you want to call it. There's no going back. Find someone without the flash and see if they will trade.
91 octane is fine. No need for more than that as long as you are running safe boost levels. If you have the Flash, you shouldn't be running more than 9-10 anyways. As far as octane boosters, I thought we weren't supposed to use anything like that or fuel system cleaners in our cars?

you cannot revert to the old, stock program. your screwed my friend. i think i'm gonna stay away from this reflash for a little bit. the whole thing has me worried. a couple of fellow members have run VERY decent times without the patch. decent enough times to beat the "all mighty" srt.

yellow- I meant the original program that was on the car from the factory.

pates- I'll check on that, thx

haha that would be hillarious.

I wouldn't use any octane booster or additives of any kind..most of them do more harm then good from what I've read.

yeah, there is no going back.

But if you want to up the boost. Go ahead and up it to 8psi spiking to 9 psi post flash. There are several members here who are running levels that high without fuel management without problems I believe.

Then save your money and get a piggyback and up it up as much as the engine will take. 8psi with the flash will likely be better then 10psi without from what I hear.
