Anyone mistake your MSP for something else?

I've been asked if it was an EVO once and "what type of car is that!?" about every other day. People are amazed when I say that it's a stock MazdaSpeed Protege, of course I have to explain the MazdaSpeed thing

Yesterday, when I was leaving the base I'm stationed at, I was pulled over for a random security inspection. Turns out the two security forces guys that pulled me over just wanted to check out the car, that made my day =)

Yeah, I've been asked if it's an Evo or an IS300 a couple of times.

IS300...I usually just say, "Yeah its a Mazda IS300 GT-R."

One time a Garbage guy was asking me about my MSP. He said it was one sharp Mazda and asked me if it came like that (Stock). He also asked me if it has a rotary engine in it? WTF?

In Ohio nobody seems to care what kind of car it is! The 1st comment I got from a kid getting the shopping carts in the parking lot was: "Hey, that`s a big trunk for a car that size!"...WTF???


At least when I went to put my snow tires on, the guys at the shop just flipped when I told them the only thing not stock on this baby were the tail-lights...

I got a 'what the hell is this thing' from the guy who rotated my tires and changed my oil. He musta saw the Racing Beat decals on the swaybars while under the car.

Otherwise, not too much notice... Concord NH isn't a car mecca.

evo a few times...wrx once...most of the time people dont know what it is...or i got once "hey is that the racing mazda?" yep..and now that i got a bov and guage pod it makes people think im runnin like 12's lol...went from "o thats kinda quick" to "damn thats fast" fmic, bov and guages r a mans best friend

my friend just recently purchased a silver 04 EVO 8 and some people said it looked like we both wnet out and bought same cars....but i think they do look alike...just their body shape....the four doors, wing and the fact that they both are turbocharged

Actually, what piqued my interest in the MSP was a blue MP3. I saw it from the side and thought it was an MSP and, well, I had to go out and get one. Two months after having mine I saw it again and realized it was an MP3. So now I probably have the only MSP (let alone blue MSP) in lower DE. I realize this is not saying much considering I do live in the second smallest state...

more like the older bro cuz the mp3 did come out first and since the mp3 and the msp are the same style that makes it so the evo is the copy cat!
