im looking into going into either one of them, I have spoken to recruiters and they both told me to talk to anyone who is a marine or in the air force. Im just looking for someone to maybe share a story or 2 about boot camp, experiences, bases...anything will be helpful. Thanks

i used to only consider air force but after talking to the recruiter and doing some research im also considering the marines now. but thats y im looking for anyone to share ther personal experience with either of these

im in the army and if u want my honest opinion the air force would benefit you most, nothin against any jarheads here but as far as benefits got the airforce is where you wanna be.

best wishes on your choice

ya im very good at working on stuff and figuring it out...i plan on going in after i graduate this year. doing the kind of stuff i want to do makes a lot of money, and when you get out you get good jobs

im in the army couldnt tell you how the boot camp is for air force or marines but i would say air force does have good benifits for sure.

im kind of surprised that there are no marines or air force chiming in...come on u guys are out there somewher lol

I would say Air Force because they actually care more for there people. They always have the biggest exchanges and the nicest golf courses etc. I am in the Coast Guard. Either way it is job security.

The question is what you are looking for. I've been in the armed services for the past nine years. Good times, bad times, but depending on the wants, needs, and the individual there is a proper fit.

What are you looking to do? Fight? Fly?

I am an active duty USAF NCO. Been in since 2001. Its all in what you personally want for yourself.
I wanted a good technical job, that was appealing to me & that has some appeal on the "outside" too. I never considered ANY other armed service. In the AF, you get to shoot and do cool stuff too...it's NOT just the USA/MC (i have friends that are USAF and graduated Ranger school...others that do counter-sniper...).
Anyway...I just attached some pics the other day of me driving a freaking 6-speed turbo 407HDi off of a C-130 here in Turkey...I love the AF :). Its a job, sure...but if I had a choice to do it all over...it would be all AF all day. Plus, the chics are hot and not all butch.
AF 100%.

I have heard a lot of good things about the Air Force. Like jonridinhi I am in the Coast Guard have been for almost three first part as a non rate now an Officer. From what i have seen AF has some beautiful bases. Good luck with your choice though

I just got out of the Marines, i was in for 4 years.....they have good tech jobs though. lol Its true that everything is a little harder. You kinda get used to it.
I would suggest joining the Marines. Ive experienced so much while i was in. Ive been all over the world, done all kinds of things. I'm not saying the Air force cant do that. But saying that you are a Marine. Its kind of a big thing. If you ever join up. you'll know.....

True story...the bases OWN all over services.

Oh yeah...Basic is now longer and tougher than when I came in.(wiggle)

They could make AF BMT 40 weeks and it would still be easy. Hey, it's the airforce. But there are difficult jobs in the AF as well, PJ, CCT, TACP, look at any one of those if you are looking for that adventure. AF has exotic bases, doesn't travel as much as USMC, they deal with boats, some people don't realize that.

There is so much to compare from one service to another we could be here all day. USMC gets the job done. Period. It's a different way of life and one I doubt anyone could understand unless they were a marine.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

But, in the end, good luck and enjoy!
