Anyone have the dimensions of the CPE filter?

Just wondering if anyone knows the dimensions of the air filter used on the CPE cold air intake (not the nano...the longer one). I am just trying to avoid ripping everything apart just to get some measurements. Looking for a replacement since the one I have is pretty dirty and about ready for a change.

OK, so the CP-E website sells the replacement filter...says it's a 3". I'm hoping Amsoil makes an EA filter with the same dimensions. I'll take the filter off sometime this next month and measure it...if I find anything good I'll post it up.

On a serious note, you could also run the AEM dry flow.

Part number AEM 21-203DK 3" Inlet x 5" tall and it's only about $45 on Amazon and a little more from other vendors like SU.

CPE has been back ordered on that filter for a really long time.

I also called AFE who makes the filters for CPE to see if they could sell me the CPE filter and they said they couldn't touch it as it's a rebranded, custom order deal for CPE.

I guess I should say their website has shown it back ordered. Not sure how often they update it etc.

That's a pretty air filter. Do they filter as well as the others on the market, or is flow a greater concern for you guys? From what I could find, the AEM dry was one of the best in this regard.

OK, side by side comparison. As I said...my old one was DIRTY. So performance review won't tell much. You can, however, see the dimensional similarities and design differences.

The amsoil looks great. Getting past the chrome, the rubber flare at the bottom should help cut the inlet losses a bit better. Looks like a parabolic profile unless that's just the way the picture is oriented. There's a big pressure loss at the end of a straight pipe due to turbulence generated at the edges. The transition is really critical in reducing any turbulence generated. I'll need to order one of these.
