Anyone cut stock springs?

I have a trailer hitch and some things that stay in the back, so the back is already a little lower than the front. I want to lower my car only one inch. So , I was thinking of cutting the stock springs. I have Tokicos on the way. I don't like the ride of coilovers. So I think in my situation cutting my springs would be the best way for me to lower it evenly. I have done it on a number of Hondas with no problems. Any other ideas?

lol....my friend cut his springs on his POS beater supra......it sits so low and perfect but strangely comfortable.....u won't know they are cut spring unless he tells you

ok one case that it works,,, 99% of the time cut springs = FAIL

I've got cut stock spring on my Pro5 and I'm looking to get rid of them. It defiantly lowers your ride. (I'll post pics later) As far as ride quality, I tend to feel every bump on the road. In addition to that, the rubber cushions that sit between the spring and strut is wearing out and I get the wonderful squeaking sound whenever I turn.

That squeaking noise is your gerbal puckering out.

purchase some Tein springs and call it a day.

In addition to the poor ride, there's no way to cut springs and exactly match the spring rates, even if you measure carefully. So now you're driving a car with different spring characteristics at every corner, which means handling will be less predictable. I wouldn't do it.
