anybody painted there MSP a different color??

not just paint but a 3 stage paint with perl in it! Nothing to fancy just a pain in the ass if you need to get a repair done that will just cost more in the long run for that special effect.

i didnt want to get to technical lol, but ya its a pain, had a body shop say they could match the paint. after 2 months they tell me they had to send out a sample to get matched.

yeah, the amount of "perl" you add can make a HUGE difference in the paint. To much its to dark and not enough its to light.

i know the ford RS is not the same, not sure about the audi. Have you seen spicy in person? Its not just orange paint.

Sorry, with our insane car taxes here in Norway there aren't many Audi S series around at all, so I can't say I have seen one. (I guess I can always keep my eyes open on my trip to Germany in September, but even there most of the Audi's you see are TDI's)

So the RS isn't the same, well, my bad I guess.

I love my Yellow MSP. Just an awesome color. Get compliments alot from all kinds of people. Just a b**** to find any kind of accent color that looks halfway decent. Thats my only complaint. But other than that I love this color.

yeah, but its a better color than silver. thats why it falls in the "debatable" list.

It's only debatable to those who don't like silver.

I have titanium and its amaing in the sun. Almost blinding with a clay bar. I think our cars have amazing paint from the factory no matter what color they are. IMO... keep the paint!!!

i hate on yellow because i had a yellow mp3 for a year, and got pulled over likeeee once a week. no joke either, towards the end of me owning it, i was getting pulled over every 5 days or so. cops would make excuses why they were pulling me over, but they were always B/S.

my favorite was "your headlight is out", then i proceed to show him that they are all working fine. OR when the one cop cuts me off at a merging road (he sped up, even though he was perfect to merge behind me with 0 cars coming)... slams on his breaks then pulls me over for "following to closely".

...sold it for a silver MSP, (which i've had a year now) and i have yet to be pulled over since!

I myself haven't pulled over a lot due to the car but the plates get ran a hell of a lot . Some officers go out of their way to just run my tag or so it seems. I can literally drive 15 over in my truck and not get looked at once but hell even doing slightly under the speed limit in my MSP(like 3 under) my plates get ran a lot.

Its to the point that I dont go over onto the west side of town much. Even my girlfriend ask what is that cop doing all the time when i go over to the other side of town. Thankfully on my side of town we have 4 msp's and 3 of them are yellow. I feel that they are seen everyday and the officers dont care.

i got sunlight silver. i think the black mica an titanium are the nicest. i want to repaint mine though cause the original owner did not take care of this car. i was thinking like a creamy yellow pearl or something lol

to get back on topic, the only MSP that I know of with a full paint job is JDMSams.. he added more gold flake to his spicy (which looks amazing)...

I like the yellow, but I would rather have a blue mp3 for looks. I'm not a huge fan of the 03.5 wing or lips. They look good, but I'm getting close to 30 and it bugs me that my car looks faster than it is. A blue mp3 is a sporty looking sedan that doesn't look like it wants to race. I've thought about painting my car many times.

to get back on topic, the only MSP that I know of with a full paint job is JDMSams.. he added more gold flake to his spicy (which looks amazing)...

sams car isnt a custom color. stop saying that poeple. the only thing he added was a tad bit more pearl, there is no gold flake to be found in the paint, its not a bass boat. it looks good but i would go as far to say its a custom color. and as far as titanium no offense but i think its one of the ugliest msp colors made. i like the black mica, spicy orange, and silver the most. the pearl in the yellow just makes the paint look kinda sunfaded until u get upclose to it.

honestly dude u should just shoot a different color pearl over the existing color just to change up the shade a bit. then just reclear over all that and ud have a good looking car.
