i'm thinking about getting my yellow 03.5 msp painted black. i love the car but i feel like i need a car thats looks less like a high schoolers and more like someone my age...

has anybody got there msp painted a different color? how did it look? price? would you recommend it?

thanks a lot!

don't do it!!! for the price of a full color change you could probably pick up a black protege(non speed)

if you had a black one id say color change is ok, but don't color change a rare car, in a rare color.....

i have a sunlight silver, want to trade? DO NOT paint a blazing yellow mica, in my opinion its the nicest color of the msps, i really wanted one when i got my car but had to settle for a silver one for the price i payed

I've often thought about painting mine to something way more subsital then the blazing yellow. As far as blazing yellow being a rare color for the MSP yeah right. To me its the most common color or seems to be.

i think that the yellow on the MSP is the only car with that color paint. just something to consider.

dont forget about spicy, only color that still isnt used by any other car maker haha. Not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing though.

but imo.... keep the yellow.

whats with ppl wanting to color change the msp anymore?

Hmm, aren't you forgetting about the Ford Focus RS and Audi S3??

grcuadros, wouldn't one option be to trade your yellow MSP to a black mica 03 MSP or maybe a black MS3?

if you want a different color, Vivid Yellow would be cool - just like the MP3's. or, go for a flat/satin blazing yellow - that would be hot too. those would be the easy choice.

or, maybe go for midnight blue, highland green, or (my favorite) velocity red. those would definitely be unique, and keep the color in the mazda family.

the only MSP colors acceptable to paint are black and silver mica. you could try to argue laser blue or titanium, but i wouldnt paint either of those either. spicy and yellow are strictly off limits.

/discussion.

blue black and silver are ok to paint as they were offered in that color on the sedans. yellow orange and titanium are a NO NO.

i know the ford RS is not the same, not sure about the audi. Have you seen spicy in person? Its not just orange paint.

not just paint but a 3 stage paint with perl in it! Nothing to fancy just a pain in the ass if you need to get a repair done that will just cost more in the long run for that special effect.
