anybody have the racingbeat exhaust...

i was just wondering if anybody has the racing beat exhaust system for the P5 and what your opinion of it was since it comes with all the piping...

some of you might have read my post earlier this weekend that i got rear ended and my stock exhaust is toast...so i'm thinking about upgrading...but not sure yet

I have it, it ain't worth it, go with something custom or the mazdaspeed exhaust which is cheaper - and you can have custom catback piping run at a muffler shop for 60$ more.

The racingbeat exhaust is way understated, almost no exhaust note except a slight burble of deepness in low mid rpms, and it is very heavy

really...hmmmmmm...

can you feel any gain in power?? i was just thinking that since the insurance is going to be paying for parts/labor i could possibly get the dealer to order it through racing beat and have it paid for...i'll have to ask about the mazdaspeed and availability...

thanks..

I have it, and I like it alot. When the shop was installing my turbo they were very surprised how much of a power gain I got from it over the stock exhaust. That was of course, with a turbo on the car, so I am not sure how much of a gain you'll get on yours. The exhaust note is as Equinox says, very very deep tone. It is in fact, to me, quieter on the inside in low rpms than the stock exhaust system! But thats a matter of preference. I don't want to sound like a 5.0 or Joe Honda's mosquito hummerpipe. It seems to be high quality though, stainless steel and all.

I don't have it but I would imagine it would be worth it since it adds 10 hp because now discontinued MP3 has 140hp which is 10 more than our Pro5 all because of that Racing Beat exhaust.:)

The extra ten horses come from the ECU's advanced timing, not the RB exhaust  If you were joking then I'm too slow at this time of night to catch the sarcasm!

yeah the majority of the extra power on the mp3 comes from the ecu...but the exhaust does still add some...

but on the mp3 i believe that it is just thr racing beat muffler...not the piping too...the racing beat system for the p5 has piping and is quoted at a 5 wheel hp gain...
