Anybody else's stock exhaust backfire?

i have custom 3in and i back fires all the time

I still got the stock exhaust and it back fires a lot. Every day I hear it pop. I was backfiring just driving in first gear at a steady rpm. It was a bunch of little pops, not loud but you could still hear it.

You might have a leaking IC pipe somewhere. Or a loose Intake pipe.

Def. not. Everything runs fine and I have a guage so I would know right away. Plust I'm anal about my car. Just running rich.

bump for that! i wonder if it'll do it after my catless DP and exhaust, having no cats sometimes does that to a car. if it does, i'll be sure to get it on vid fo yah

I don't really backfire, but when i start the car and take off and shift from 1st to second i get some black smoke out the exhaust. I have stock exhaust btw. Soon to have catless dp

mine backfires whenever i want it to. rev the engine up to around 3k, when it drops back down to around 2k, just pop the throttle a bit and get a little backfire

I think it rumbles rather than backfires. I remember my friends did when it was stock. Now thats its 3in it throws pops when shifting above 4grand

My car throws flames every now and then. OMG it backfires, like loud gunshots. Sometimes I like it and other times I wish I didnt scare so many people. (sssh)

Mine (3in custom) likes to gurgle & backfire but not too too much. i love the gurgle sound tho

Mine constantly backfires. I have the MazdaSpeed unit though with everything else stock. It always pops when shifting from 2nd to 3rd but doesn't actually do it when downshifting.

Mine backfires occasionally, more often when I downshift when approaching a light or something.

100% stock exhaust. Doesn't really bother me, it's just further indication that I'm still running rich. Just wondering if anybody else's stock exhaust backfires regularly.

I backfire all the time i run rich as hell... Time to run 17 PSI on everything stock

mines exhaust pops. i'm all stock. i usually rev it to 3000 then let it drop down to about 2000 and when it gets to about 2k i lightly tap the gas and it pops everytime.
