Wow Congrats man! How do u like them thus far?

They are fast as hell...but lets not talk about that. They corner carve like you wont believe. Its crazy to think mazda is doing a coilover pack for these. They already handle amazingly well.

The lack of mp3 support in either the sport or the gt trims is complete bs.

as far as the mp3 support goes, there are 2 options: in the center console there is an aux input that you can hook an ipod up to OR you can get the mazda ipod link from the dealer. Im not sure if this is available stateside yet, but I did see one on ebay

Not to sound like an ass, but you'd be hard pressed finding an aftermarket CD player that doesnt play MP3's. Part of the reason I was looking at this car is that Im sick of modifying my vehicles, stereo's included... I dont have, nor do I intend to buy an ipod so I'm a bit perterbed about the oversight. Theres no reason they couldnt have a MP3/WMA capable DVD/CD drive in the deck. The Navigation is DVD correct?

i dont have the navi, so I'm not really sure. And I guess I wasnt thinking about mp3 cd's, Ive had some sort of an mp3 player for the last 7 or 8 years, so ive never had to use them. I guess you guys may be right then, this may have been an oversight by mazda

I agree with you 100%. I mean who cares about a 6 CD changer when you can have 1 CD with around 10 CDs worth of songs (depending on compression)? I love my Alpine in the RSX, but after a while the face plate started to rattle from taking the faceplate off too many times. Bottom line, I don't feel like replacing the factory unit in my MS3. Oh wait... I can't. >_< (stupid Bose system)

cd changers are a thing of the past. Might as well have an 8 track

Get an auxmod or Audiolink guys. The Audiolink which I use, you can stick a USB thumb drive into it, or use anything through it's mini jack like an mp3 player, and there's an ipod version as well. You can still use the steering wheel controls with the Audiolink and the guys that sell it are great. Search for it over at m a z d a 6 c l u b .com

Your still talking extra accessories though. CD-R's cost a neglidgeable amount and I can have a good selection of music just in my sun visor to keep me occupied. I dont want to do anything extra, I dont want wires running around the cabin and I dont want anything tacked on. I can't fathom why they'd overlook that. My salesman is going to hate me.

Just got mine last thursday and it is the most fun thing in the world to drive. Getting on and off the interstate is a trip in itself.

My audiolink had 1 wire, 3 feet long, it plugs into the back of the stereo headunit, and runs into my glove box. you can't see any cables. And it took 10 mins to install. Also, my thumb drive is about 2"long by half an inch wide. How big is your visor that holds cds's? how about the cd's themselves?

The whole point is you need to buy more stuff to do what you want. The cd's in my visor are out of sight out of mind and easily accessable when I want them. Unimpressed.

I seen a blue one driving so i went to one dealership around here and they had a black one, dealer markup was 10 grand, they wanted damn near 38k for it.

then i went 5 miles down to the next dealership and they said they had 2 but they only had a 4k markup and they sold within hours.(shocked)



im waiting till next winter (07') to get mine.(peep)

I think that mazda did a good job adding some cool options (like the aux input) without raising the price of the car too high. I know that you will agree that mazda really did good making this car, I personally wont let something i dislike about it ruin the overall experience of it for me, so im guessing u'll find a way around the mp3 issue too. (ha either that or ur salesman really will hate you lol)

Thats what I was told when I went to see the silver gt (msrp). They changed their mind. So, don't get your hopes up too high.

I have the purchase order with the price written down by the dealership. It lists the quoted price, my non-refundable deposit, as well as my signature for the order. Any fudging of the price would be like... illegal. ^_^v

Did your dealership place an order for you specifically? or were you inquiring about one that was already in the showroom?
