Any US Mazdaspeed3 sightings

My black MS3 GT had 7 miles on it when I picked it up. Paid MSRP $24,590.00 for it.

The dealer said they were going to mark the next set of arrivals $1,000.00 over MSRP due to the great demand for this ride. He is selling them as soon as they hit the pavement.

I had to put $500.00 deposit that day just to make sure he didn't sell it to someone else.

Glad I bought it.

This is a stupid question but after reading theses posts, is there a maximum amount of miles they can have on one of their cars before its considered used? Is there a limit?

After seeing the one post where the guy said come back in 30 minutes I thought that was interesting.

Good thing you did get the mazda because the dodge would have probably broken down by now.

Straight from a dealership owner that I know:

A car can no longer be sold as 'new' once it has been titled. SO if a MS3, for example, was test driven extensively at a dealereship and had 500 miles on it they could sell it as new as long as it was never titled at the DMV.

how many ms3 will they make ?? it will special edition like the msp or will they make them in 08???

Congratulations on the new ride. From what I've read, this looks like a killer ride. I'm scheduled to see the first one hit CT next Thursday. I'm not sold on the station wagon look so hopefully my mind will change once I see it in person. As far as this price gouging nonsens goes... Personally, most of what car salesman say is total BS. If I had just paid sticker for a car and heard what you heard, my BS meter would tell me he's just trying to make me feel as if I got a deal. Even if they ARE planning on adding a grand to the sticker (something that's completely reprehensible. Very few cars are deserving of such treatment) that doesn't mean they'll actually get away with it. The market will dictate where the pricing ends up.

I feel the sticker price is "reasonable". It's not the "bargain" many are saying it is but it's certainly not a rip off either. Paying more, on the other hand, would be. When you can buy a WRX for $200 over invoice (which translates into about $3k less than sticker) for those cross-shopping the two, the 2 cars are about the same price. Pound for pound, the WRX in this case represents the better value. Despite the fact that it has less power, it's actually faster in every category and can be made to go ever faster for very little $$$. People cross-shopping these two cars know this. If the market follows suit, mazda dealers will not only do a 180 on their price-gouging tactics but those of us who were savy enough to wait will be rewarded with the ability to (like every othe car on the market) negotiate a price far less than sticker.

Though it's a bit of a risk, if the look of this car appeals to me when I see it in person, I'll most likely wait untl next February. (when I hear the next batch will arrive.) Being in CT, that'll be during the heart of winter. Nobody's paying more than sticker for a high-powered fwd car with summer tires when there's 3 feet of snow on the ground. Because the initial 'craze' will have mostly died off (combined with the aformentioned bad weather) I'd be 'mildly surprised' if I'm not able to buy the car for at least $1k less than sticker by then.

Just like highway pizza said, a vehicle can still be sold as new as long as it was never titled. Technically, alot of cars are sold as new, even though they have three or four thousand miles on them. They are usually demo cars that the managers at the dealerships drive. The only time there is a mileage limit is when a car is leased. Even though the car was never titled and is still considered new, I believe a leased car cant have more than 5000 miles at the time of sale.
