Any photographers in here?

I got it on craigslist for $1,200! AMAZING!

I have been wanting this thing for a while, but there was no way I was going to buy a new one for $1,800, or even a used one for $1,400... I just kept my eye out, and got lucky with this one. I am seriously pumped! He also had a 1.4x TC, which I offered him $150 for, but he didn't want to take it. That's ok, I think I want the 2x instead anyway.

oh yeah, you're definitely going to have to plug those into something beefy. Battery units are usually rated in amp hours... it's pretty easy to do the math. divide the watts by 10 and that gives you an estimation of the amp draw. then divide that by the amp hours of the batteries, and blamo, that's how long the batteries will last.

Very nice! If I like the 24-70 I'm gonna start keeping my eye out for a deal on one. $1100 seems like a lot of money for a used one, but I've been seeing them on ebay for around $800-900 though. Gotta wait for that *perfect* deal!

yep, patience will pay off for you!

I have been thinking trying to figure out what the perfect L setup would be... so far, the best I can come up with (for a crop frame sensor) is the 10-22, the 24-70, and the 70-200... plus I definitely want bot teleconverters. Oh well, I told the wife that I am not getting any camera gear "for a while..."

ehhhhhh I don't know why, but I just hate the push pull thing. It's very clunky and inaccurate. Oh, I guess I do know why I hate it. I was all about getting one of those until I decided that the 70-200 was a superior lens. Now, I just need to get the TC. Then I'll still have 400mm f/5.6!

That's what I have right now. Then a fisheye, and a 50mm to supplement.

Here's a short vid of a shoot I was doing.

I'd be the worst model photographer ever. I'd make them go into all sorts of crazy positions and stuff... just for the comedic benefit

She was a good model..she knew what to do. I only corrected her if there was something worth correcting. But I have to make more videos like this!

hard to beat L glass. I have two 24-70 f2.8s and two 100-400 to use at will (i use them regularly for work) great lenses. also have some 2x teleconverters. the 100-400 takes insane portraits as well as doing everything else that falls in that range, pretty flawlessly. and two modes of IS! crazy

Some shots while my kids were playing outside with the hose and their little pool today!

Nice Tony. Love this pic...with a little adjusting. ;) If only you could see more of your daughters expression it would be awesome.
