buy a small square of plexiglass and take those again with the plexi under the model. The reflection would be KILLER.

:-( my tree pictures got "new-page" blocked...

Two from last night's snowfall:

Sweet pictures Flyin :D

I think starting out with budget lenses is not all that bad. having the 18-55, 55-250, and 50 f/1.8 is a nicely rounded starting point I think... After you've got those, you can keep yourself entertained until you can afford better stuff... and all together, they can be had for under $500, for sure. Plus, shooting lots of different things allows you to figure out what you enjoy/do the most. I thought for the longest time that I would get the 70-200 f2.8 next, but I think I'm going to get the 17-55f2.8 instead. I use that focal length range WAY more than anything else, and I'm pretty happy with my 55-250 anyway.

If you don't need the 2.8, get the 17-40 F4L

LOL...I knew I'd get this thread going again.

That is really eerie. It has a super sweet glow to it. I really like it.

Shot taken inside a Starbucks with the G11. ISO3200 with some major noise reduction with Noise Ninja.

Wow...that's history. Sad they went bankrupt.

Yeah, I took that when I was back there for my 21st birthday (I was born on Maui) and never thought a few short years later, they'd be gone...

Thanks man. I was out in the backyard taking pics of the trees when I glanced over at my neighbors yard and saw that.

@Funky - Dude, when you start taking abstract shots like that last set... Damn good work!

Hawt... Funny cause I deal with more expensive vehicles on a daily basis, but it would be a toss-up if I would want to stare at an airplane or an Aston all day. If the choice was between a Cessna 172 and a DBS... I'm gonna go with the DBS!

I'm trying something I've never done right now... HDR pano. I'm wondering if I should have stitched the photos before HDRing them instead of HDRing and then stitching... we shall see...

I actually took the pictures necessary to do that, but never got around to it... At the time it just seemed like WAY too much work, especially to get all the HDR settings identical so they blend well too....
