Well nice to meet you Amanda, I live in the area of 67th Avenue and Thomas. But I drive all over the valley, what can I say I love to drive.
As for mods I havent really done much, but here is a lists of things I have done so far:
1. removed the air intake tube and resonators, that run from the grill area to the air box and installed a K&N filter panel
2. upgraded the low beam headlights to 100watt bulbs(going on 5 months haven't had any melting the harness issues thankfully)
3. went to a wider tire on the stock rim, went from the 195/50/VR16 to 205/50/ZR16
4. I put in carbon metallic brake pads all around, I have noticed a better pedal feel and shorter stopping with them so far
5. I removed the roof rack the day I bought it, mine came with it as a dealer accessory and I told the service manager that he could have it if he removed it. So mine technically had a roof rack but not anymore(I think the P5 looks 500% better without it)
6. had the dealer tint the all the windows and sunroof, but it is a fairly light window tint
7. upgraded the battery to a 650 cold cranking amp battery, now my car starts as soon as I hit the key
I do plan on doing mods in the future but I am currently putting most of my money into paying it off faster, then I plan on do the following:
1. change the color from silver to Lava Orange(04+ Mazda 3 color)
2. get the interior redone with leather
3. do an engine swap( I want the try to drop a clone of the new Mazdaspeed 6 engine in my P5)
4. lower the car about an inch or so(just enough to get rid of the gap between the tires and body)
5. somehow I want to get my P5 to have working dual exhaust
6. upgrade the stereo system but I am going to keep the stock 6 disc cd changer
7. and maybe get a set of 17 inch polished rims off the Mazda 3(I'd like to go to 17 inch rims and these look fairly close the the polished 16 inchers I currently have)
I am a sleeper fan myself, and when done my P5 will appear nearly stock until the hood is opened. My 2 previous cars were of the sleep motif and I liked owning a car that didn't appear to be a threat lol. I can't wait to get the paint job done though, got my fingers crossed to have it done by the end of this summer.
As for the warranty mine should be expired in about 6 more months, considering I have put 33,571 miles on it since 1-9-04(had 124 miles when I bought her). Heck I have already put over 1400 miles on her sincethe first of the year!
