Any MS6 Problems?

ah ok thx guys, i already changed the exhaust bearings, as well as the piston rings in my 1.8L rotary.

so i should be good for another year! woot!

Did anyone consider about the engine balance shaft function ,note if balance shaft is out of adjustment ,u will get a shake ,vibration like feeling as if u have a bad set of engine mounts ,just my 2 bit.

not sure if anyone has posted about this, i just havent had the time to look through the posts and wanting a quick answer.

2006 Mazdaspeed6
1 year
59k miles
Fully stock
93 octane
Problem: On cold startups, the car idles at 2k rpm for a minute, sometimes just a few secs and drops back down. Is this suppose to be normal?
Needing guidance.

2007 mazdaspeed 6 about 50,000 miles
so far iv gotten my rear diff replaced and driver side axle.
now either my front axle seal is leaking on the passenger side or the transfer case is leaking.
Also noticed lately that im getting a weird clunk when coming from a hard stop and getting out of first gear.
I have AWR trans 88 duro mount and also RMM 70 duro should I take these off if im goin to the dealer ship?

Its possible they could say your issue is caused by the stiffer motor mounts. The trans mount isnt really noticable. Which RMM do you have?

i have the same clunk i have the cp-e motor bone mount, the turbine tech add on fromt engine mount, as well as TTechs front diff mount and bushings for rear diff mount, and i get the clunk as well... the clunk is just the driveshaft engaging the rear diff, i can make it happen on demand when i am cruising from a stop and tap the accellerator, i am going to say it again as i have before when people bring it up, if you have a driveshaft spinning at x speed, and it suddenly engages there is a slap that happens, since especially if ur going from coasting to accelerating, ur reversing the transfer of energy through the dual mass flywheel, so essentially it stores that energy and it overcomes the spring pressure tht is supposed to dampen it and as the flywheel locks suddenly when the springs inside it fully collapse causing your rear diff assembly to suddenly roar to life, i think the only reason you cant hear the same event on the ms3 cars is because the engine compartment is way too loud to hear the tranny gear engage, but have a friend shift your car while u stand in front of the engine bay, and u can very clearly hear the sound... so i think it has more to do with the cavity of the car being more transmissive of the sounds from the diff vs the already super noisy engine compartment that has so many clicks popping off from the cdfp and the vvt systems as well as our 100volt injectors, i want to see if anyone with a aftermarket flywheel has this issue, as removing the dual mass flywheel could be the issue if its not just the diff assembly being a noisy design

i mean its a ford owned company, doesnt anyone rember their clunker rear ends, that used to sound like ur muffler falling off when it engaged disengaged? it was like the prepositrac days i think

i too have had this clunk and my car is stock, but the sound honestly dosnt worrie me because nothing is messed up underneath the car. so id assume the whole differential theory works out

The car already had some work prior to me buying it. Clutch, Shift Fork, Something else.

Car currently is back in the shop because of leaking gear oil again. They say its not the prop shaft and more than likely not covered under warranty. At 35,225 miles

:(

5 years 50,000 miles.. Its been over 5 years.. Even though They fixed the prop shaft leak they said it was not leaking this time. Im going on there word its not. They said they cant find the leak and had to keep the car at the dealership... I marked my mileage before I left and took it in with low gas in it too make sure they will not Joy ride in my car.

If there is more than a mile or two added on the car when I get it back im gonna be pissed :).. Just gonna wait and see what they say the damage is.. If its too much as in over 4G Im getting rid of the car.. Cant afford to spend 4g and possibly have the same problem a year later.

We will see will keep you guys updated

so i was lookin to get a speed6 by the end of the year but this thread is scairing me away form one. i had a P5 and loved it and my last car was an 08 gt eclipse.
