Any 2014 Mazda3 Sightings?

Ok I just sighted two this weekend, both Soul Red s Grand Tourings.

Saw one yesterday, I think it was out for a test drive, because I didn't see a front plate and there's a Mazda dealer up the road a ways.

Saw the other one today when I visited a different Mazda dealer. Saw it up close in fact. Then I saw it from the inside. Then I saw it on a bill of sale with my signature on it. (yippy)

I just bought a 2014 Mazda 3 I 5 Touring hatch in liquid silver. (My Mazda dealership had 3 hidden away in their back lot because they're trying to move all their 2013 models, but I've been eagerly awaiting their arrival and the guys in service gave me a heads up to take a walk waaayyyy out back to see them because they had just arrived a couple of days ago).

My new car also has the technology package and I'm just blown away with all the features. Loving the Bose sound system, too!

I also own a 2006 Mazda 3 hatch and am just stunned at what a big difference it is driving the 2014. It rides much smoother, it's quieter in the cabin and the seats are noticeably more comfortable to sit in. I'm also still getting used to blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert, but having those features just makes me feel safer while driving. I also love the Kodo redesign - it just looks like such a different car than I'm used to driving.

Looking forward to hunkering down and reading the manual from start to finish so I can learn all about the new features, but figured I use this forum to gush about how much I LOVE my new car.
Nice! I notice it's an I Touring; is it a manual?

In front of my house :D

Yep... picked up my 2014 Mazda 3 SGT last night. Black on Black. Looking to get it tinted today. I will be taking it back to the dealership Tuesday to install the door sills/bumper guard (love the metallic strip bumper guard) and the Nav system software (TomTom) they forgot to put in with a SD card.

Congrats on the car! I also have the sill plates and bumper guard and they look good. For the nav, mazda uses navteq instead of tomtom now and instead of the 1 year of free map updates they had before, its been bumped up to 3 years.

They forgot to do mine too, but all you have to do is stick the SD card in the slot in the armrest. That's all there is to the "install." And updates are self-service, you're supposed to download them to your PC and copy them to the SD card.

Another Soul Red for the thread! Kind of sad to think this moment is the cleanest and most perfect it will ever be, especially now that it's raining.

Yeah based on the success of the current 3 and the attractiveness of the new model I imagine well be seeing these on every street in no time heh. My local dealers have a few but I drove an hour away just to find a manual transmission to test drive. The 's' doesn't exist for me in this gen since they only offer it in auto which is a damn shame. The i mated to the 6 speed manual had a surprising amount of get up and go though. Also handled great as I was taking it around a roundabout at a pretty high speed without so much as a squeal from the tires. Absolutely love the look of the car, but it had the least comfortable seats of the 7 cars I test drove yesterday and that tacked on look of the audio system is hard to accept. Think I'll have to go on another longer test drive and see how my back likes it. It was very lacking in lumbar support. Felt so much better getting in our 10 year old Protege5.

The manual is coming in the "s." Per Mazda, it's going to be available "later." I'd suggest you try the i Touring with the tech package if you can, that'll fix the sound system for you. Won't fix the seats though, did they have an i Grand Touring? It's got vinyl seats but they're power and should be easier to dial in "just right" than manual seats. I love the seats in the s Grand Touring, they're extremely comfortable when you get them dialed in and deploy the lumbar support. Might be worth waiting for the manuals to show up for the s models. Come to think of it, did the i Touring have a lumbar support lever? That may only be with the power seats, so you may need to be looking at an i Grand Touring.

The overall "s" production is pretty limited right now when you get down to it. Seems like they're all Soul Red, they're all Grand Tourings. Haven't seen any others out in the wild yet. I figure it will take them a while to get full production rolling and fill the pipeline with the full variety of models. It's been on sale for less than a month, and apparently demand is high. Poor Mazda, all those leftover 2013s, they're going to have to fire-sale those to get rid of them. Especially with the 2014s sitting right there.

Kool. I was like "Why am I getting a compass screen" when I switched to the Nav. Then I found out the sales rep never put the SD card in the slot.

Waiting for a lowering kit (I want to drop it about 1.5 inches) to be available for this 2014 model 3 and I will also put my rims on.

The i touring did not have a lumbar lever. And yeah on the lot all of the 2013s had a big $4000 off sticker on them. I may end up with one of those instead. At $20k the car is compelling for me. In grand touring I think I'd be more tempted by a used wrx or some such for the money.

There's going to be an awful lot of these things at this rate. But for now I enjoy being the only one in 4 counties. :)
Which means more money for Mazda which will lead to more amazing cars from them (2thumbs)

Plus it means less ugly cars on the road :)

Anyone seen any or has the sedan yet? I almost bought the sGT sedan yesterday but will see if I can find a better deal lol

The local dealers in my area are saying maybe in November-December. Its clear they really pushing the hatch edition for now. Plus price wise its about $2000 less for the SGT 4 door over the 5 door hatch.

The dealership I went to had a few sedans (i touring only) when I was there and they looked really nice.

The price difference is only $500 not $2000

Yeah price different for sGT sedan and hatch is only $500. I'm trying to get them under the $26k mark.

The price difference online is $2000 between the hatch and the 4 door. Please post the web link where you see it being only $500. I am based out of FL.
