Two things here: First I know you dont want to hear this but if you report it you could get in trouble. Anytime you hit some in the back they can ticket you, the law says that you have to be traveling at a safe distance and you did hit him so it wasn't safe. I know that sucks but that is the law.
The good news is that they left the scene of an accident that is even a bigger NO NO.
What he did was much worse.

If you are feeling dishonest, just get a police report for hit and run in a parking lot. Then it just gets covered under uninsured motorist which is a $250 deductible for most insurance companies.

I bumped a car, er, was cut off. Just had a slight crack in the bumper skin, a scratch on the headlight, and a crack on the plastic piece above the grill. All components were replaced and it cost $1,400.00.

*Update* I decided to just tell my insurance company that i had a minor accident and that the guy did not want to exchange information.they told me to bring it in to them so they can estimate the cost of the damages done and that i'm going to have to pay my deductable of $500.so by the way the car is driving now and the statment above it seem's like it's going to be ALOT more then i thought.so #267 will be off the road for a little bit.i'll update tomarrow with the estimate of the cost of repair.

This is the kind of situation where you call 911 on your phone(if you have one...one reason just to have one) and chase the motherfucker. Tell them EXACTLY where you are and what happened and chase the bastard down. We did that in my friends Talon. He got a new car because of it.

i know how hit and run is when i got my eclipse it was mint i didnt have insurance yet suposed to next day i was stoping at a light my friend was behind me and there was a porsche next to me a grand am with 4 little punk kids that felt they needed my lane regardless of if i was in it or not couldnt swerve cause on the brand new porsche in other lane he acted like he was gonna stop but he didnt i had to show him what turbo all wheel drive ment i caught them no license no insurance now i have a eclipse with a nice custom smashed fender
oh well s*** happen i just cant wait till i get my 2003.5 laser blue msp
