I was poking around and went to the shop's page that sells this kit...with all the extra parts, it came out to 900,000 yen (~$9,000)...ouch. Looks like 516,000 (~$5,000) for the supercharger kit alone.

I suppose it's worth it if your car is a labor of love and money is (almost) no object, but yeah...for that much, I think I'll pass for now.

A true complete package supercharger solution is expensive, but typically worth it. One of the guys I autocross with bought a 12k S2000 and put a 13k supercharger kit on it. It was a true plug-and-play solution, but you pay for the convenience. It's still cool to see this stuff offered, however.

That puts the 2's supercharger kit price into perspective. It's an awesome kit and I would really like to do it, but I can't sink that much money into the car at the moment.
If that is aimed at me, you're probably right.

The more I look into it, the more I think it might be worth the investment. For the time being, I'm more concerned about keeping my warranty than adding any power. But in a year or two? Who knows? If I still have the car, I may do it then

I don't know. Still seems priced pretty high. I guess I'm just thinking that if I went with the supercharger I would pick up all the parts and do it myself, perhaps with help from Dynotronics on the tune. You know, in like 5 years when I can afford it.
