hey guys,
well i finally blew the motor in my 2003 protege lx, and i've decided that i'm done with the FS-DE. so why not go KLZE, right? i got real lucky and found an mx-3 with a fresh KLZE install (less than 500 miles). It's got a clutch masters kevlar clutch, resurfaced mx-3 FW, stainless headers, magnaflow high flow cat and muffler, 17x7 rims with new tires (and the correct 4x114.3 bolt pattern and 45 mm offset... and they'll actually look good on my car), and a bunch of other goodies that will transfer over to the protege. i got all of that for $1325.
needless to say, i'm quite happy with the purchase. here is the car i bought, click here. looks like it'll need a little work to get it from NC to OH, but i don't mind that. worst case scenario, i'll have it shipped for $400.
over the next few months, i'll be posting a lot of pics in this thread. i'd like to make this the thread to come to for the KLZE swap.
but first, i'd like to start off with asking for advice... those of you who have done the swap, and words of wisdom?
