Also it doenst say anything about what they are going to do about it. Just inspect it means they can stick their stupid head in there like I did and say its ok I assume.

And if something happens, at least it will be on file with Mazda. Better backing to come back and say the Mazda dealer "supposed" to have checked. More ammo for the customer.

That is true but I wish the letter had more to it then that. The Japan recal had instruction on what to do for a fix not just "inspect" it.

Are we going to get a letter or do we just take it in and have to ask?

I was informed they will inspect the issue and replace the bolt/mount as needed.

I am not but if they will check it out for free then I am down with that. I have looked mine over 2x and it seems fine and there are no "pop" noises but why take the chance?

As I said I dont drive it at all hard enough to get it to fail but partly this has been in the back of my mind. I have yet to do a launch or hard 0-60 run but I dont want to be fearful of a failure especially since unlike 2 months ago we are hearing about more of them with pics to prove it.

I was just giving you s*** man, lol..... I would do the exact same thing, it's always nice to have them check it just to be sure, hell that crap might even come out after say what.....10k miles? 15k miles? even normal driving, if "hard acceleration" causes it to pop out......normal vibration over a prolonged time MIGHT have the same effect, so getting it looked at free is always a plus.
