Well guy's I got a new toy!! I had Apex Motorsports in Tempe, AZ build be a custom downpipe!! It is made of 2.5" piping. No cat or pre-cat. It is fully ceramic coated inside and out. No check engine light. I have a boost guage in my car now and I am reading just at 7psi on WOT. Dyno results should be tommorow. My baseline HP is 149.9 at the wheels. We had some issues with the A/F though. It seems that it is lean until about 3K then it drops dramatically to the lean side. We are going to see if the downpipe helps that at all. If it doesn't, well time for a new toy APEX'i AFC controller. Just so you all know Apex said they were planning to market these downpipes so I will keep you posted. Here's the pics!(wiggle)

I dont' think he removed the O2 sensor....if you look at the right side of the downpipe, it looks like there is a O2 sensor bung near where the end of the pre-cat would be.
 
regardless there is a o2 sensor that monitors before and after the cat and if it doesn't see the cat there it will set a check engine light for cat efficency
 
Almost positive that there is only one O2 sensor in the OEM downpipe....I'm not saying that there is only one O2 sensor period...it might be right at the turbo exhaust outlet...not sure, but I don't think he removed any O2 sensors.

EDIT: nevermind....after a re-read, I understand what he's saying.
 
Any custom exhaust shop should be able to do this for you guys.

Its interesting that you are running rich before 3K, and then lean after. Makes me kind of scared because im running more boost...
hmm I really need somone to tune my s***.
 
Alright everyone I just got back from the dyno. Just so you all know the dyno is a Dynojet 248H. The issues with the A/F have been solved by the downpipe. In fact it is just about perfect. I am using the 2.25 cat back stock exhaust so we will see some more improvement in the future. I don't have a scanner for the dyno but i can give you max hp and tq.

Max Hp Stock: 149.9
Max Tq stock: 157.2

Max Hp W/DP: 160.6
Max Tq W/DP: 160.3

I got some pretty nice numbers with this mod. Oh and by the way there is one O2 sensor before the turbo and one after. The check engine light did come on on the way back from the dyno but oh well.

So you are saying the DP solved your running lean?
geuss i have nothing to worrt about for now...maybe.
