Alternator volts at idle?

Has anybody checked the voltage at the battery at idle with nothing pulling amps other that perhaps the coolant fan?

It should at least be in the mid 13v range at idle, depending on loads/battery charge state/etc. Having charging issues?

Mine's at 12.5v and the computer is showing the "Alternator failure" message, though the car starts and runs fine but stalls once in a while. Is there any precautions that I should take in order to prevent the car from stalling till I change the alternator?

I get 13.7 from the cig lighter digital volt meter.......

Dont drive it.. Thats about all the advice i can give. The car is only running on battery voltage. That wont last long at all and youll end up on the side of the road calling AAA....
