alternate tire sizes for 02' P5?

what other size tires fit on the stock rims of an 02 P5. the stocks are 195 50 16 and i'm in michigan so these tires have basically been disposable for me as i pop or warp one every week it seems.


any other options? do i need to do anything to step up or down? any advantages or disadvantages?

I heard 215 on the 2002 rims wont fit...but is it true?

I too run 215/45ZR16 on my stock rims but mine is a 2003.

Freaking snow, 50 cm this week-end...12 feet snow banks and all. I want my DZ's back!(drive2)

03 rims are 6'' wide, correct? So as long as the 02s are also 6'', I guess they would fit...

02 rims are also 6" wide so a 215/45 should fit with no problems at stock height.

Ever since I dumped the original Dunflops I've been running on 205/50/16's...

Michigander here....

...just bought a P5 last October and replaced the 195/50's with 205/50's to get a bit more rim protection for the chuckholes here. Throws off the odo 1-2% max, gives a nicer ride at the expense of go-kart reflexes--or at least my choice of tires did this.

Went with Kumho ASX's--Discount Tire will match Tire Rack prices, FYI....
