ALL 2010 Mazda3 Stuff Goes Here

I like how so many people on the forum were claiming that there was not going to be any more speed3s after 2009 with such certainty.
I guess this will shut them up.

(freak)

You do realize the error in this thought right?

Please don't make me explain it......

i literally had a reply completely typed up to his comment and well obviously i didnt post it because I just could not believe the stupidity involved when he was typing that...lol

im glad someone else catched that haha

i love the hood scoop. You know with this coming out, one of these aftermarket companies will be coming out with a copy of that hood for the 07-09's for us! I'd love that. So far it looks pretty good. Don't think i'll get rid of mine for it though.

I like where this design is going, but for some reason the current one looks more agressive yet not overly done like the evos' and stis'. I cant wait to see the final version, then i can make up my mind to trade.

I would bet it is going to be AWD more then likely. If you look at the rear wheels they have a kind of red plate right around the center. It seems as though they would put that plate in order to cover any potential spy shots of a axle/axle nut back there seeing as though there are no center caps on the wheels. (dunno)

from what you can see it looks sweet will have to wait on the front of it but the rest looks sweet

*sigh* ok the good um well they got rid of the funny antenna that slaps the back windshield and w/o the door guards it does look kinda sleek but so did the previous models when they were removed, lastly the front end is kinda neat lookin, sadly thats the only good things i can think of as far as outside goes, now the bad. Def looks like a smaller version of the 6 which IS a bad thing not because the 6 looks bad but the 6 supposed to be long sharp but bulky car...it doesnt work for the 3, although the front end resembles the rx-8 (as all new Mazdas apparently do) it works kinda nice but the openings for the fog lights are just outright ridiculous, stock rims are a knock-off snowflake which is good cuz they will make awesome winter rims because who cares about winter rims let them get f**ked up by road salt, now hears the part where Mazda really fell on there faces the rear end yes the whole rear, the bumper is modeled after a park bench and the taillights were stolen offa Lancer, o yea who ever thought DUAL exhaust on a N/A 4cyl from FACTORY would look/sound good....NOBODY. Finally i was going to say one good thing from the facts i know about the new 3 which was i though that it was gonna come with a 2.5l, now that i found out that its not....utter disappointment of the HIGHEST degree. So in other words get a 6 its much better and i have a 3 just to let you know.

To Mazda: *Ahem* just because Ford owns you partly dosent mean you have to listen to them i mean its obvious that only Ford that gave there platform for you guys to say "Boy Ford cant make 4cyls to save there life (referring to focus) so lets take as little as possible from this platform and make the 3 04-09" my guess is Ford saw what you guys did there platform and thought that they could take it another step forward which as seen above they completely failed im so sry for your loss Mazda it was a great car when u guys led the design R.I.P Mazda 3 04-09.

Rant over

Now that the new Mazda3 has been shown to off to the public, it seems that engineers at Mazda are plowing ahead with another new version of the car, the fire-breathing 2010 Mazdaspeed3.
The first super noticeable feature on the upcoming white hot hatch is the massive scoop that graces the front hood, surely an add worthy of a second glance from even the most died-the-wool Subaru junkie. That intake is likely there to feed a turbocharged 2.5-liter four, with Mazda said to increasing displacement just a bit for this generation of Speed3. The resultant powerplant should be good for at least 300 horsepower, and may even signal a shift to an all-wheel-drive vehicle—though a front driver is still the most likely configuration.
An impressive set of front and rear spoilers, as well as two hefty exhaust pipes help to complete the look of the ultra aggressive Mazda; making our hearts beat a little faster at the prospect of our first drive in the process. Read the photographer’s own notes below.
Will Mazda try to give Subaru and Mitsubishi a hard life when talking about wannabe rally cars? Well, it sure looks that way when we see this new Mazda 3 in a hi-performance version.
Look at that big air intake on the engine hood…wow. And we guess that the cammo also hides some big holes in the front bumper as well. At the rear of this Mazda 3 we can also find a gigantic rear spoiler and two fat exhaust pipes.
The question is if they give this Mazda 3 MPS four wheel drive this time, or keep it a front wheel drive like the last one. We heard some rumors that the 3 MPS will get the same engine and drivetrain like the upcoming Ford Focus RS, meaning 300 horsepower on the front wheels.
I guess sooner or later we will find out, until then, just enjoy the photos while the prototype takes some quick laps around the Nrburgring.

Something really tells me the rear tail lights and front head lights are going to look like a complete ass....

Well....you know we'll probably swap them out for something aftermarket either way lol.
Pero,
I think they are on to something with that induction scoop...we'll see.

Think about it.... we could be seeing a V-6

Your kidding right? I am pretty sure we will be seeing a 2.5 with possibly a new borg warner turbo, or even some sort of turbo from Honewell considering Ford has now been working with them for the new Ecoboost system. I am also almost certain that this car will also have the "revo Knuckle" sytem in the RS focus.

I just really hope Mazda doesnt cheap out like Dodge did with the Caliber and use braking in place of a traditional LSD to help cut cost.
