Alarm and Stock HU Problem?

Hey guys, I'm a new member to the group and this is my first post, so please bear with me. I think I've searched pretty extensively for any info on this problem, but have come up with nothing, so I hope someone has an idea about this.

I was trying to install an 4ch amplifier in my P5 today and thought that I was finished with the install. I turned the car on, verified that the stock HU turned on, but the amp didn't. After testing the wires, I determined that the remote wire was not hooked up properly. (with everything turned off) I reconnected the remote wire to a different (and working) source. When I turned the car back on, the amplifier did in fact turn on, however the stock HU does not see any power now. I multimetered the power/ground wires on the harness and they are still seeing the 12V source.

My initial thought was that I had burned the HU. I took out the HU but can't see any burn marks on the board through the metal grating. I also didn't smell anything burning at the time. There's yet a twist to the situation that makes me unsure. My keyless entry does not work now; I checked the battery on the remote and it's perfect. However, my remote won't do anything to the car. I'm now wondering if there's some connection between the security issue and the HU not turning on? If anybody has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Maybe you blew a fuse or something?

Well, i checked the Radio fuse at the driver's feet and it's fine. I didn't see an alarm fuse anywhere in that set of fuses or in the box underneath the hood. Do you know of any other fuses on the car? Or, do you know if there's a fuse internal to the stock HU?

Try checking to dome light fuse, which is also the fuse for the memory power for the radio and possibly for the keyless entry as well. Just double check all the fuses.

Yep, check all the fuses in the driver side footwell. I actually don't know If there is another fuse box in the engine bay, if there is, check it as well.
