Alabama MP3's

man miller that really blows dude i had the throwup thing like two weeks ago and i have never ever flexed my abs muscles like that...that is quite possibly the worst thing...and that would be the worst way to go...not being able to keep anything down....and starving...anyways im gonna pick up a dual pillar gauge pod from one of the guys on here i was gonna go with a voltmeter and an oil temp? think those are good? i mean im not buying those right now im gonna have to wait to buy the gauges later and install them later...should i get a shop to do that or matty you could probably help me out right...

I can help you with any guages you may need.....but I don't know of any guages that you will need. I would reccomend waiting for Captain KRM5 to start/finish his GB. His cluster pod is the best looking unit I've seen.

If you plan on getting serious about modding your vehicle you want a mechanical oil pressure guage and maybe an intake temperature guage. I used one of these on my SHO to monitor the temperature of the intake charge. It's pretty neat to be able to verify what you're putting in the motor. I'm also partial to coolant temp guages. Maybe a nice small digital tach would be cool.

It would be fun to get together and hang out sometime. I met bigdp5 a couple weeks ago at the The Summit, just out in the parking lot, to sell him some springs....anyway we ended up just talking about anything and had fun. Plus, got to take home Macaroni Grill for the wife and me. It is a good hour drive for me, especially with all the interstate construction going on, so don't get to eat there often. You guys ever just meet up like that?? Later(2thumbs)

I try to get several people together every saturday night at the race track to hang out and race a little. Ususally it's just me by myself, but Anarchistchicken and his posse have been coming out recently. I know LAMP3 would be down for a big meet, but he lives 4 hours from B'ham. Also, There are about 3-5 North Alabama guys who are wanting to get together. What I'll try to do is contact as many protege members from this area I can. We'll start collecting opinions from people about good meeting locations and types of events people are interested in. I prefer meeting at the race track because it gives us something to do. If we just meet up in a parking lot there's not a whole lot to do but chat. A new local P5 guy here (Dave) suggested meeting up at Barbers....that would be AWESOME, but we'd need something like $400-500 for the meeting space that would overlook the course. I'm going to look into a "Mazda only" (miata, protege, rx7, rx-8, M6, M3) track day at Barbers....this would be HIGHLY expensive but probably the most fun you will ever have in your own vehicle. I would expect several hundreds of dollars per person to rent the track for a few hours. I personally will pay it because I can't afford the $2800 2-day porsche driving school there.

Go ahead and list your suggestions for the guys who are interested in this. I'll cross post this on the RX7club.com forum. Maybe we can gather some intrest.

oh Matty, if you could work it out at barbers, you would be a god. Oh man that would be so much ******* fun. Man I'm shakin just thinking about it.

I can absolutley work out a deal at Barbers...you willing to pay $1000 for a few hours? I might be able to get up the required $10K that way. Barbrs is EXTREMELY expensive. I was also told that any damage down to the grass or field has to be paid for by the driver. If you run off the track (and you will) you have to pay the groundskeepers for any repairs needed....you have pockets big enough for that?

Went to the Galleria and Summit on Saturday and saw a couple Mazdas'. First a blue MP3 blew by me on 459 with a 59 tag, then I saw my FIRST orange msp riding in front of the Goodys by the Galleria. Went to SAKS at the Summit and parked beside a WRX Sti (drivers side smashed in a little). Saw a brand new Mercedes SL 500 with some deep dish 19s, and Infiniti G35 and 350Zs' everywhere. Man I love gettin to the Big City (2thumbs)
