Al/Ti casted-forged engine

As some of you might know, i'm planning on getting a brand-new lightweight engine block with forged components...to turbo my P5.

I looked a lot into it over the internet and here is what I came up with:
Aluminium casted engine block and head and titanium forged components.

How much of it do you think makes sense?

I decided to go with the aluminum block since it is nearly impossible to cast titanium and since Al is lighter.

What do you think about all of this?

So you're telling me you are getting an aluminum block and forged ti internals for a protege huh? You're a bit confused!

For real options check out any of these guys for whats available to either rebuild your block or a salvaged block with forged pistons and rods or fully built motor ready to drop in which all are cast iron with an aluminum head.

Ok...I guess according to your reactions it doesn't make any sense...(flame2)

But tell me...is there anything lighter than cast iron??? I mean, the LS9 'vette engine is made of aluminium...so why isn't it good??????

Here's the deal...I got money and time and I want something super light and solid enough to handle over 14 psi...what do you propose?

What the above members are saying, what you plan on doing is very costly. You can get forged engine for around 4 grand plus.

why cant i write crossover... did SAM piss someone off and get banned?

anyways... replace the ****** with cross_over_auto without the _

NP...
the first link is to Mazdaspeed2oo3 build. He is just crazy, planning to boost 35PSI+.
You will notice he is using a "Stock block" with forged internals. You should do the same. Forget about an Al forged block, i dont think it exists first off, and you dont need it. You are talking about 12-14PSI. That is not really very much. You might, MIGHT, even be able to pull that off on stock internals. But if you have the money, and time, and knowhow just get some forged Pistons/Rods and a GT28RS. like i said Crossover has a nice looking package. With just about anything you need, or toss an e-mail PM to Sam and he will point you in the right direction.

ur confusing the word forged engine for an actual forged engine
if you want to get a whole nother block cast from Al when then that'll cost you a s*** ton, prob 10g's
when you forge your engine, you buy forged internals for it, you keep the same block, the block itself is strong enough to withstand far above 14psi
But the pistons and rods are a different story, you need forged pistons, forged rods, and the crank is already forged so you should be set with those 2 things
but you have to replace alot of other stuff to deal with the power too, like your clutch, maybe even some gears if your really start going crazy
