AHH!! My computer is infested with Spyware!!!

Actually, a whole bunch of those O16 entries look fishy...I'll bet one of them is causing my popups because I know all the running processes check out.

best one is adware6.... its free and good... as for toolbar thingy u might of gotten it when it was bundled with ur other programs i.e morphous or gator.
But windowswasher is free (at least there is a 30 day trial). Does it work? I downloaded it at work and people using the computer were asking what it is for to the computer tech guy who keeps up our site and so forth. He uninstalled it all, but now we have Lynx software (password and user name required). I guess it is to monitor us in a way and to keep any one from using the computers (patients, etc.) I work in a hospital BTW.(blah)

tell him it keeps keep the network from getting over flooded and you computer from getting taken over. As for installing it, u'll need him to do it. i never used windowswasher cuz ad-ware always worked for me. U really need the admin account to get rid of most of the stuff u got.. so just take it to him and ask him to do it. The other way is to reformat you computer... but that is going to the extreme.

I was just in Charleston Yesterday. Nice city. I like it alot... My company might be trying to send me there to work for a year or two

Can someone run that hijacker program and tell me if they have either of these toolbars?

O3 - Toolbar: &Radio - {8E718888-423F-11D2-876E-00A0C9082467} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\msdxm.ocx
O3 - Toolbar: 64FORVIEW - {4261EE2B-51A6-6CFC-7735-8D3CBA9241FC} - C:\PROGRA~1\LocksThe\TeamCorn.dll

Do you have any file sharing software installed? Unless you remove it from your system it will re-propagate throughout your system. Another possibility is the popups are from windows messenger, I disabled it when I was having some issues a few months back with popups and it seemed to solve the problem.

Messenger is disabled...I think...I did that a long time ago. It doesn't appear in my task bar anymore. Besides, firewalls do a good job of blocking Messenger from getting the requests to generate popups.

I don't have any PtoP filesharing programs. I installed Kazaa Lite well over 6 months ago but removed it after about a week. My post above lists all the running processes on my system. I can account for pretty much everyone...so its got to be something embedded in IE or a service that would normally be legit. Of the O16 items in the list, I removed all of the ones that did not have recognizable domain names (eg macromedia, apple, microsoft were not removed). I removed both O3 toolbars.

I have a question, is it common for so many svchost.exe processes to be running?

What the ****! They won't go away. Ad-aware and Spybot are showing a clean system, yet when I reboot and log in, it seems every few hours I get a trio of IE popup windows. I don't have to have IE running or anything for it to happen. I am loosing my patience.

my comp is ****** beyond belief too

ok...does anyone know what program it is that is putting these stupid f-in green bars underneath certain words...like "mp3" "job" kazaa" "hotel" etc. etc....if i click on any of them it will search for them ...its ****** annoying
