Aggressive fitment anyone?!

17X9 +27. Any one care to comment on how this will fit?

with my current (far from stock) set up I cant run 17x9 +27 as is (would need to adjust the lateral links and dial back the camber, note in the calculations that there is 14 mm of outer clearance to play with so it's totally doable just not with my current adjustments)

pics are of 18 8.5 +22 (8 mm inner clearance) with 15 mm spacers (23 mm inner clearance)

calculations

Current Wheel Specs: 8.5 +7
New Wheel Specs: 9 +27

Inner Clearance: 26 mm LESS (-3 mm !)
Outer Position: RETRACT by 14mm

Yup, got in the mazda game when the Protege5 hit the showroom floors. Would have kept going with her, but I ran into a mint blazing yellow MSP one day.....and you know the rest :)

Was planning 17x7 f:+30 r:40 but new plan.

I have seen a few 17x8 +38 with 215/45s.

Just wondering if anyone has had any major rubbing or problems with the rim hitting the fender. im willing to roll my fenders flat but dont want to pull them.

I am on stiff springs and lowered 2.5 inches( tucking rear) with -2 degrees of camber and can up it to 2.5 if needed.

I'm looking at these Elbrus wheels for my sedan. They're 17x7.5, +38 offset (edit: another site says +40 offset which would be better). I'm thinking 215/40s should work ok on these, but thinking 205s to avoid rubbing as I'm on espelir springs and Tokico Illuminas. Anyone have any thoughts on this fitment?

(My old wheels are showing a lot of odd corrosion of the surfaces, so I'll be retiring them to snow tires (which are currently on my stock wheels)

That's my old setup to a tee. I never hit a rim. Lot's of tire rubbing tho. I ran 225/45 in front, no issues. 215/45 in the back rubbed if I was driving hard, tho. That's with Illuminas set at full dampening and a decent linear spring (RS*Racing). 17x8 +35 is about as aggressive as you can go on the BJ platform without coilovers, honestly. Or at least sleeves.
