VERY interesting! So your misfire is from a vacuum leak?So we figured it out right? Heard from others with this issue that it's just the injectors seal(s) that have gone bad. Wondering if anyone just replaces just the injectors seals?
Cool that AI can interpret a log!I only replaced spark plug #1 as recommended on the forum posts and left the issue as is.
However yesterday while driving a code P2096 was triggered. Fuel trim lean bank 1. No other code with it.
Been going back and forth with Chatgpt to understand where the issue could be. I am very impressed that this AI tool can even interpret screenshot of freeze frame data.
It did happen few days after I emptied a bottle of liqui Moly fuel conditioner into my gas tank.
I reset the code since Chatgpt 'advised' it could have been temporarily triggered by the fuel cleaner , if it comes back again then its the downstream O2 sensor. Hope its not the cat though.
Could also be the bad injector reducing flow but the car performs normally.
I plan to see the mechanic in a few weeks if the code returns.
O2s "last" a long time, for sure. They lose sensitivity and tell the ecu to add more fuel when it's not needed but are still "working". Contamination and just wear and tear makes them send an incorrect reading to the ecu.Is contamination what causes the O2 sensors to fail? They can last a long time, maybe 100k miles, maybe more sometimes.
I've read about this new Valvoline Restore and Repair, anything like this HSS Stiction Eliminator ?I'll change out O2s and MAF/IAT sensors on our CX5 near the 100,000 mile mark. I call this a 100K tune up. In addition to this, the oil will be treated with 1/2 qt HSS Stiction Eliminator.![]()
