Aftermarket fuel injectors ok? 2016 CX-5

So we figured it out right? Heard from others with this issue that it's just the injectors seal(s) that have gone bad. Wondering if anyone just replaces just the injectors seals?

VERY interesting! So your misfire is from a vacuum leak?

One way we find vacuum leaks is to spray the intake manifold, injectors, hoses and such with brake fluid with the engine running.

Do one item at a time. If it's got a vacuum leak the the engine will stumble, idle at a lower RPM. I would spray number 4.

IF #4 injector seal is leaking air, I would change out the seals on all of the injectors.

Great find, I hope this solves the issue!

I only replaced spark plug #1 as recommended on the forum posts and left the issue as is.

However yesterday while driving a code P2096 was triggered. Fuel trim lean bank 1. No other code with it.

Been going back and forth with Chatgpt to understand where the issue could be. I am very impressed that this AI tool can even interpret screenshot of freeze frame data.

It did happen few days after I emptied a bottle of liqui Moly fuel conditioner into my gas tank.

I reset the code since Chatgpt 'advised' it could have been temporarily triggered by the fuel cleaner , if it comes back again then its the downstream O2 sensor. Hope its not the cat though.

Could also be the bad injector reducing flow but the car performs normally.

I plan to see the mechanic in a few weeks if the code returns.
